    • Indonesian entry requirements are following IATA Tematic Provisions.

    • Specifically, for international flight passengers to Jakarta (CGK) and Surabaya (SUB), if they do not bring PCR/Swab test results, they are still allowed to fly. Still, PCR/Swab tests will be conducted in Indonesia. They will undergo quarantine until the PCR results come out (foreigners (WNA)/WNI can carry out the quarantine process at the hotel recommendation from the Task Force Team at their own expense).

    • The validity period of a medical certificate with a negative result from the PCR / Swab test results is valid for a maximum of 7 days from the date of issue by the health facility.

    • Indonesian entry requirements are following the provisions on the official IATA website.

    • If you cannot show a negative PCR / Swab test result, you are still allowed to fly but you are required to carry out a PCR / Swab test at a health facility designated by the Bali Task Force at your own expense and carry out self-quarantine during the waiting time for the PCR-based swab test results are issued.

    If the Passengers do not bring a COVID-19 free certificate / COVID-19 free letter, the validity period has been completed / the COVID-19 free letter is signed by a General Practitioner without including a Practice License Number (SIP) or NIP for Government Doctors / Passengers have a history of COVID-19 symptoms (fever / cough / runny nose) for the last 14 days, upon arrival in Mimika Regency, they are required to undergo another Rapid Test at the arrival terminal by the Timika KKP officers at the expense of the passengers.

    If they are proven to be reactive, the passengers will be isolated in a place that has been provided by the Mimika Regency Government and scheduled to carry out a Swab / PCR test at their own expense, if it is positive for COVID-19, treatment costs are the responsibility of the Government.

      For international flights, health certificate with a negative result from the PCR / Swab test results is valid for a maximum of 7 days from the date of issue by the health facility.

    • For Dometic Flights, health certificates with negative results from PCR / Swab results and non-reactive results from Rapid test results are valid for a maximum of 14 days since they are issued by the health facility (exclude special requirements from the government / local authority).

    • Passengers may get an additional check at the arrival station from the local authority and are asked to fill out a form/affidavit following local regulations.


    • For International Route Flights refer to the provisions of the IATA Tematic.
    • For Domestic Route Flights refer to the provisions of the SE Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 Number 9 2020 and/or Local Government Regulations.
    • For International & Domestic Route Flights (Connecting INT-DOM or vice versa), double requirements apply based on the needs of each sector, namely the provisions of the IATA Tematic, SE Task Force for Handling Acceleration of COVID-19 Number 9 2020 and/or Local Government Regulations. Example: SIN-CGK-UPG then SIN-CGK applies the international sector requirements according to the route, and CGK-UPG applies the domestic sector requirements according to the route.

    All arrivals must download and activate the Peduli Lindungi (Care Protect) application on mobile devices.

    Social Distancing Procedures

    1. Garuda Indonesia is actively educate passengers to take care of their health especially when they are about to have flight, to ensure it. Body temperatures will always be checked upon boarding. Hand sanitizers on every touch-point pre-flight and on board will also be provided.
    2. Garuda Indonesia also highly put our efforts to implement social distancing for passengers on board by giving an empty seat between each passenger.

    3. All passengers of Garuda Indonesia are required to wear a reusable non-medical mask at the airport and during flight.


    Refunds for Garuda Indonesia Airlines are not currently given in cash, but in the form of EMD / Travel Vouchers. Refund submission must be made before your initial travel date. The conditions for submitting an EMD / Travel Vouchers refund are as follows:
