When should I check-in for Scoot flights?
You can check-in at least 60 minutes before departure. We recommend arriving early to have sufficient time to check documents related to flight requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic. Check-in deadlines may vary at different airports and for certain flights.
Can I check-in online for Scoot domestic flights?
Yes, you can check-in online to save time at the airport. Check-in can be done from 24 hours to 60 minutes before departure. Please visit the official Scoot website for the online check-in process.
Can I only check-in at Scoot outlets located at the departure airport?
No, you can choose other check-in methods, such as web check-in, mobile check-in, kiosk check-in, city check-in, and phone check-in. Please contact the Scoot Contact Center for more information.
How many cabin baggage capacity do I have?
Economy Class passengers can bring 2 (two) pieces of cabin baggage with a maximum combined weight of 10 kg. ScootPlus Class passengers can bring 2 (two) pieces of cabin baggage with a maximum combined weight of 15 kg. The cabin baggage has a maximum dimension of 54 cm x 38 cm x 23 cm or it can be placed under the seat in front of you.
How many checked baggage allowance do I have?
On Scoot flights FlyBag and FlyBagEat class one piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 20 kg. ScootPlus class can carry two checked baggage allowances with a maximum combined weight of 30 kg.
Can pregnant women travel with Scoot?
Yes, you can travel on Scoot. Pregnant passengers can fly with a gestational age between the beginning of the 28th week and the end of the 35th week, as long as they can present a medical report from a doctor certifying that they are airworthy.
Can I order special children's meals or certain diets?
Yes, you can order special meals. Passengers can make special meal requests at least 24 hours before the flight via the Scoot website, mobile app or call center.

Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd, or better known as Scoot, is a low-cost airline in Singapore and is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines headquartered in Singapore Changi Airport. The airline launched flights on June 4, 2012, on a medium and long-distance route from Singapore to China and India.

Initially, the Scoot fleet consisted of Boeing 777 aircraft obtained from Singapore Airlines. Then in 2015, the airline began to transition its fleet to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. On July 25, 2017, Tigerair officially joined Scoot using the Tigerair air operator certificate (AOC) but retained the 'Scoot' brand. With the change in the AOC, the airline's IATA code was changed from TZ to TR, and its ICAO code was changed from SCO to TGW, which was previously used by Tigerair.

At present, Scoot operates 28 Airbus 320 family aircraft and 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Scoot was also chosen as Best Low-Cost Airline (Asia / Pacific) by for 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. The airline was also ranked 10th on World's Best Low-Cost Airlines in 2015 and 2018 by Skytrax. In 2019, Scoot won the Best Low-Cost Carrier at the 30th TTG Asia Awards and the 2019 Asia Weekly Travel Readers' Choice Awards.

    • There are some examples of items that are prohibited to be carried inside your carry-on baggage include lighter fluid, oxygen bottles, fireworks, paints, and tear gas. Personal items are allowed only in limited quantities such as hairspray, deodorant, fragrance, and medicines. For check-in baggage, it is prohibited to carry potential harmful and dangerous things (e.g., explosive, compressed gases, oxidizers, corrosives, flammable liquids and solids, firearms, radioactive materials, poisons, and any other hazardous materials).

    • Cabin baggage allowance is a maximum of 7 kg, while check-in baggage allowance is a maximum of 20 kg.

    • Register your baggage in advance at the check-in counter before your flight.

    • Every passenger must occupy the seat which is determined during check-in.

    • Carry-on baggage must be put in luggage compartment or below the passenger’s seat.

    • Cellphones and any electrical devices must be switched off or alter to flight mode, especially during take off and landing.

    Scoot airlines provide 2 options for refunds; in form of cash and Scoot Voucher.


    As for refund with the form of Scoot Voucher, the conditions are as follows:

    • Scoot Vouchers cannot be cashed in cash or credit card balance if the voucher is not exchanged.
    • Scoot Vouchers can only be exchanged once and cannot be used a second time.
    • Scoot Vouchers is non-transferable
    • If your initial payment mode includes a voucher payment, please note that the 120% Scoot Vouchers option will not apply to the number of bookings paid using the voucher.
    • For such vouchers expiring between 1 February – 31 July 2021, both dates inclusive, Scoot will progressively send an e-mail regarding auto-extension of the validity period of voucher for another 24 months. The expired voucher will be voided and a new voucher valid for 24 months will be issued with updated Terms and Conditions. For more information, click here.
