Very good design, with a spacious open foyer, tidy, large bedrooms and bathrooms, with a good pool area. We had the pool to ourselves most days until about 1600 which was nice. But, the price of the drinks listed on the menu is not worth it at all. There are two restaurants listed, but only one was open, there were numerous bars mentioned, and the restaurant was the only place you could get a drink. The breakfast and dinner menu was high for the quality of the food. We were told that because we couldn't use the shuttle bus because it's only for Chinese visitors, this is not acceptable in the uk and looked racist, as was the case in San Antonio. After a few days, the pool had a lot of algae that hadn't been properly cleaned, so we didn't use it as much as we would have liked. Most of the time, the toilet in the room smelled like garbage. One man from Nepal who worked at the front desk was wonderful and helpful and spoke excellent English. The rest of the personnel doesn't speak much English, but that wasn't a problem for us because we used a translator app more a warning to anyone looking to go. I would advise this hotel, however, it needs some changes in how it treats western visitors, the bar areas, and what's available.

It is overrated. Has an arty purpose but turns out to be uninteresting. The rooms are good but have awful equipment, for example, the wall plugs are too loose to hold a cellphone charger. The swimming pool is decent, but there isn't a towel available. A decent breakfast. Inside a convenience store, but with no advertised costs and no receipt. And in the end, the receptionist and breakfast restaurant are using their egos to be as stupid as they are lazy, or the other way around.

The hotel is beautiful, with extremely contemporary design throughout. A fantastic open concept lobby with views of the pool. The room we had was amazing! Great and stunning. The bed was the greatest part of our stay here. Soft, comfortable, big, and it feels like you simply sink into the bed as you lie on it! The room is spacious, beautifully lit, and warm tones. The toilet is also nice but the floor is very slippery, they provide an anti slip mat. The food wasn't too bad, and it was reasonably priced. There isn't a room service menu, so if you want to order it in your room, you have to go to the restaurant and take a picture of it. The to was so soft despite its volume being the largest. There is no sitting area in the room where guests can have their meals. The aircorn wasn't too cold, but they also have a fan! The pool was nice and heated! Breakfast was not very great, it was fairly simple, but their pastries are amazing! I even took one on my way out! They use chopsticks a lot, no forks or spoons, maybe you could request them to turn on the meter. The staff was friendly and helpful. They make an effort to communicate in English. They have a google translator app ready to communicate with visitors who don't speak Chinese.

When I asked to change rooms because the view was not what I expected, the staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. The resort is quiet and away from the crowds. I would return and recommend it.

This is my favorite hotel in Haiku. You're always well taken care of. The room always smells great and never smokes like many other hotels in China. Beds are really comfortable. Japanesestyle toilets in the rooms! The hotel is very stylish. Staff speak English and are always very helpful thank you. Lounge is nice, as is the buffet for lunch and breakfast proper bread. Massages are also very good.

In our first time, we had an excellent buffet at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant offers a panoramic view of the city. The service was superb. We are very grateful to John, Ivy, and Lucy's hospitality. They gave us a wonderful introduction to the local cuisine available at the buffet. The seafood was delicious. We have a lot of plans for our next trip.

Because I've heard a lot of good things about the sofitel as a vacation location, I made a decision to stay at this hotel. Mandy provided excellent customer service, from giving me details on booking options to arranging a later check-out time for me. I had a large, spotless room, and a comfy bed for a much needed night's sleep! The attentive, accommodating personnel provided an array of great breakfast options. I'll undoubtedly return.

This is my last stay at the Sofitel Haiku. I was very impressed with the facilities at this hotel. This is an amazing hotel, with a great swimming pool and a great view. Also, the service of the lounge staff and the lounge manager, Sabrina, should be mentioned.

This is the first choice for a calm afternoon tea or a relaxed business meeting without being disturbed. Sofitel Haiku business and administrative lounge is the first choice. You can enjoy excellent service here. After staying here for a week, the main service employee xiao xie is very attentive and considerate. Let me say that Taiwan Island is also a good service afternoon tea evening happy time that can be used to relax and enjoy this quiet and romantic time accompanied by the setting sun. Here to watch the sunset should be the greatest view, with the seaside sunset and sunset romance, and the city lights in full view.

The service was much better than the reviews I had before. The room and pool were both spotless. Fast wifi and no problems. Although the dinner buffet is a little pricey, you have all of the food and beer available, and since you can see everything, you can easily choose exactly what you want without having to order from a menu. There are several other eateries nearby, and a few shops are accessible by foot. Make certain that you download Google Translate or a comparable app with a Mandarin dictionary before traveling to China so you may communicate with the staff. Taxis take a long time to arrive. Alternatively, the hotel car can be ordered, but it is more costly. It takes some time to walk downtown Santa, so choose a cab. You will also need the destination address written in Chinese characters because the taxi drivers also don't speak English. Also, the hotel doesn't have a functioning atm close to it, so obtain some Chinese currency before you arrive. Look for the reading area there is a charming bookshop and cafe nearby, which is easy to miss.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. It feels like a second home away from home. We will undoubtedly return. This was our first vacation since the curd lockdown, and our staycation at the sangria haiku hotel has been amazing. The pool and gardens evoked a cashier, the rooms were clean, and the hotel service staff was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to jerry, the executive sous chef, and his crew for taking care of us during all of our meal times. The buffet dinner provided decent value for the money, with a wide selection of food and wine and beer. The Shang Palace, a Chinese restaurant, served delicious Chinese food that suited our tastes and they generously suggested that we order half portions so we could minimize waste. The team organized a special Easter egg painting and child activities for our daughter during the Qing Ming Easter weekend. Although the management team speaks English, the rest of the team does very little English.

The front desk staff was really friendly and everything was very clean. The rooms have mini fridges, free small bottles of water, rubber slippers and bathrobes for the pool. The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes, but almost every room can see the beach. Nice landscaping, and the breakfast buffet was yuan with real coffee and lots of fruit options not western food, this is chinese breakfast. My only complaint was the brightness of the green led on the air conditioner which actually cast shadows! If light bothers you while you are asleep, bring a sleeping mask.

I have stayed here twice in the past few weeks, once for a business conference and another time with my family over the Christmas year period. This is a great hotel with wonderful facilities rooms, restaurants, gardens, spa, and beach, but most importantly, great service from everyone. We had dinner at the hotel on all three nights here, twice at the Japanese restaurant which was excellent. Totally recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Santa Ana.

We stayed here for December 2021 and January 1 2022, which was our return trip to this hotel after having previously been here in 2005. We arrived with a group of friends because we knew the hotel location was excellent. Here are the positives of the hotel. It has a great location and a lovely grounds garden. It is a short walk to the beach, has beautiful pools, and has a fish bar. Nice lobby area and terrace. But the problem with the hotel is that the service at the bar and restaurant was very slow and disorganized. There are a lot of dishes, but they are unhealthy! Let me put it this way: every morning, there was a large bowl of sliced onions, shredded carrots, and lettuce leaves in the fresh veggies salad bar! No tomatoes, no cucumbers, etc. Fresh juices had to be requested in advance, and the kitchen would run out by 9:30 am for a breakfast that runs until 1100! The check-in process was made when we checked in at 8.30 p.m. Unsurprisingly, there was only one receptionist who was available, the elite desk was closed and the procedure took forever! There used to be two tennis courts, but one of the two courts was converted into a part track sometime in the last 12 years. So, only one tennis court is accessible.
