The owner named Agus was very kind and helpful. He set us up with a driver to the volcano and gas mask I brought my own torch. Small but ideal room and the banana pancakes were delicious! This is great if you intend to climb Bromo the next day trains are at am or rp to Probolinggo.

Pro very good location in front of karangasem train station, the family who run this homestay is very friendly, comfortable bed, very filling breakfast choices indonesian food or tasty and moist pancake I really love it. Despite it's western toilet, there was no ac only fan, no table, no hot water. Overall, I had no problem with those cons personally because I only stay a night and needed a place to stop before going to Jen crater in the midnight to take a nap for a few hours and take a shower. After I came back from Jen, the lady provided me with a delicious and satisfying breakfast. For those who take the train to Jen and stop at Kaangasem train station Small Station, it's recommended. There are two motorbike rentals next to this homestay and a small shop run by this family. However, because it is not in the city center, it's not a good option. I booked 135 k per night. I saw on application that it is only 100 k.

Our destination was from Bali when we arrived here after taking the ferry. The homestay is among a collection of hostels and homestays, all of which are near the station. We arrived the week following the end of the armada hoping to avoid the local crowd and be able to do jen and take the train to Bromo. To our surprise, the week following the armada is the busiest of the year! There were no trains and all local buses were booked. We were stuck along with all the other touristsbackpackers who were in the same situation. The homestay is managed by a family. The parents don't speak much English, but the son spoke excellent English. He went the extra mile to try and help us get transportation to Bromo, it was incredible. Super friendly and funny, and genuinely concerned about our good stay. We spent one night climbing jen, which the son can help arrange for you. I suggest this rather than searching online, as the online tours are overpriced. We ate fried rice at the homestay, which also has a snack shop in front, etc. If that is your plan, it isn't the ideal spot to visit Banyuwangi. However, if your plan is a quick stop to see jen and then take the train, this is a great option! Just don't travel

We'd recommend this place. Last minute reservation, we didn't regret it. Agus, the owner, welcomed us with warm greetings and served us the best iced tea. You may also get fruit throughout the day. What a beautiful gesture after a hike up Jen. The location is excellent, especially if you're coming by train to Bromo. There are 2 places just to your right and your left where you can hire scooters. Also, the food at their grill is delectable.

Sangat dekat dari stasiun banyuwangi kota, tinggal nyebrang, di sekitarnya banyak warung untuk makan dengan menu bervariatif, lokasi cukup strategis bila inin grabfood/gocar dll juga mudah dijangkau. Homestaynya bersih, kamar mandi juga bersih dan ada exhaust fan, airnya deras, disediakan handuk juga, tetapi tidak ada selimut, karena cuaca lumayan dingin dan kipas anginnya juga kencang. Overall nicee!! Terima kasih🙌🏻

The price that we got is not worth what we got. The room was clean and comfortable, with a large bed and shower. The location is excellent because it's directly across from the railway station. And then, the owner was fantastic. After that, the breakfast is wonderful. Subsequently, the owner is so amazing, he can speak perfect English.
