This was a great find and fantastic value. You need google maps to find it but that is part of why we liked it. It is away from it all. The owner who speaks excellent English told us how he had restored the buildings belonging to his family around an old mill, so we got a two storyed one bed apartment by a stream in the woods above a lake where we swam and relaxed when not exploring medieval cities, pre-roman remains and pilgrimage sites. It's comfortable rather than luxurious, the food is good and the local wine he serves is extremely quafable.

Local muito tranquilo onde só se ouve a natureza (água a correr na ribeira, pássaros). As casas de pedra são lindas, só é de lamentar que estejam pouco equipadas (na cozinha, sobretudo). Ideal para vários tipos de estadia (sozinho, a dois ou em família) e durante vários dias.

Fomos recebidos de forma muito simpática. Antes da chegada fomos contactados para indicar a hora de prevista de chegada para que a casa estivesse quente. Quando chegamos tanto a salamandra como os aquecedores estavam prontos. No entanto, o fim de semana da nossa estadia for particularmente frio, pelo que o nível de conforto em termos de temperatura na casa não foi o ideal. De resto, tudo excelente.

Pour le prix d'une chambre vous louez en réalité un chalet tout neuf (2009) sur 2 étages. L'Aldeia comporte 6 ou 7 chalets près d'une rivière avec des vasques pour se baigner et tout près d'un lac de barrage (super en été mais humide l'hiver), Une maison sert d'accueil et de restaurant. Endroit insolite (il s'agit d'un petit hameau qui a été transformé en hôtel en fait), idéal pour qui aime faire un peu de randonnée et pas trop loin de Guimaraes (30 mn) et pas loin de Fafe (15 mn) petite ville sympa pour se promener en fin d'après-midi et diner. Bonne route pour y arriver mais attention passage étroit 500 m avant le hameau (ne pas y aller avec un camping car !). Mieux vaut arriver de jour la première fois puis marquer le point GPS.
