I would heartily suggest and return to this location. The family who runs this place are all very nice and helpful. They always give free crackers, water and fruits when you come, even after you check out. They greeted us and allowed us to leave our bags after we checked out. They work with the Ha Long Bay tour to pick up and drop off. They sell giant water bottles for ask dongs, so cheap! We booked a private room which was very nice and only cost us $ a night.

When visiting Haiphong, my lovely wife and I stayed in this guesthouse for one night. Its hidden down a small alleyway off the busy every street. Find it by searching for the nam young hotel, walking down the alley and passing the sassy shop coffee 70. The location is decent. The opera house, cathedral, and market areas are all within easy walking distance. A variety of restaurants, coffee shops, street food vendors, and bars are also close by. Its a great place to spend the night. While the staff is friendly and helpful, they dont speak perfect English. The rooms are comfy, spotless, and beautifully decorated. The bed, which has an electric blanket to cool off the chill in the chilly winter, is cozy, and the shower is excellent hot. A real bargain at less than 400, 00 per night, without breakfast.

The family here cares very much about the guest. They went above and beyond in so many ways. Nicely updated room with crown moulding! Comfortable bed, great pressure in the shower, and a divider between shower and bathroom! The small things that make me happy while in Vietnam

I highly recommend this motel to anyone planning a trip to Hai Phone! Since the motel itself is located on a small alley in one of Hai Phone's main streets, there are a lot of street and local restaurants nearby. When we checked in, the hotel owners, an older couple, welcomed us warmly, sincere, and helpful. Although they might not speak English very well, communicating would be straightforward if you knew how to use Google Translate or other translators because they were quite patient and ready to assist. The restroom is spotless, and the bed is extremely cozy. The fact that there is a netflix app in development is a significant plus! I am sensitive to both light and noise, but while staying here I got really sound sleep. Although my room was on the first floor without an elevator, I had a lot during my journey, so it's like doing a minor exercise to burn off all of the extra calories. But they appear to have another motel next door, which is newly constructed and has an elevator if your traveling with a lot of luggage. Overall, I spent about $390, 00 per night for the room, which was well worth every penny.
