The property is very clean,but the interior needs renovation, respextivly this is not yet completed. The breakfast is a little bit poor. The host is very friendly and helpful. This hotel a s special charme and i would go there again.

Friendly and helpful staff, quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Access to coffee tea and juice plus breakfast available both early and late. Meals were excellent with a range of options. Central location and easy access to transport. Would definitely stay again when in Sydney.

We stayed for 2 nights on a stopover in Sydney. Check in was easy and the staff were really friendly - gave us a rundown of the accomodation, breakfast etc. The hotel is fairly well located - close to a tram stop and a short walk from central Sydney. The facilities are a little tired but generally clean and tidy. The room itself was fairly big, although with a small bathroom (shower only - not a problem for us). It was very handy having communal space with breakfast (just the basics - toast, cereal, tea, coffee, juice). There was a communal fridge but our room also had a fridge in. Although we were sleeping directly above the pub, we didn't really notice any noise overnight. Would definitely recommend.

Bar/reception staff were kind. Surprisingly quiet considering it was above a pub (Though not sound proof, so have reasonable expectation). Building is quite old, so the room did look a bit like a back packers but it was serviceable for a short stay in the city. Downside was part way through the evening, there was a strong smell of cigarettes (which is not allowed in the building). My pajamas smelled like cigarettes the next day.
