We had a fantastic time here and will be back. The location was perfect for a 3 night getaway. The staff was friendly, there was a great fireplace with wood on the tap, it had an amazing view of the spa, and it was decorated beautifully, with a fantastic breakfast hamper. The room was spotless, with a lovely look, and a lovely ambiance.

For three nights, we stayed in the Kookaburra room. We were glad to be unplugged because of the positives, such as the wonderful views, the tranquility, and the quiet setting. Although it's a lovely location, and our stay was fantastic, it wasn't exactly the high level of basic amenities that some other nearby cabins have, including a dishwasher, barbecue, birdseed, bird feeders, and libraries. There was little variation in the cuisine, but many dishes were adequate and just enough. The couch and cushions were filthy and did not have the highest standards of cleanliness. The downside was that 1 of the cushions and sofa weren't particularly clean. One very little fruit tray for 2 people for three days was adequate.

We stayed at Eagle and the view from the spa was out of this world from the minute we entered. Huge sofa bed on the deck and breakfast hamper more than enough for 2. Literally a 2-minute walk to the lovely little shopping village in Montville. We paid $345 per night but it was definitely worth it and I will do it again.

My daughter and I stayed here for our annual girls weekend. The cabin was comfortable but not as luxurious as some I've seen for similar prices. The breakfast hamper was generous. The view was good, especially from the spa! Parking was on a very steep hill so a bit challenging to navigate. Close enough to town to walk for dinner if you don't mind the walking up the hill.

Overall, I'm disappointed that the cabin looked and felt very worn out. You can't beat the location and view. Despite being spacious, the cabins definitely need a refreshment and were rather ordinary. With that said, a few comments depending on what type of visit this is for you. The cabin is open-plan and has the bedroom 4 steps down from the living area. In the middle of the downstairs area is a spa open to everyone. That has a shower head. Definitely not for people who do not want to shower in front of others. Also, if you aren't agile, entering and exiting the spa is near to dangerous. Definitely for young couples who want to curl up together. Breakfast was generous, but the eggs and bacon were in the fridge for you to cook yourself. That didn't interest me as we had paid a fair bit for this luxury accommodation. When we noticed the sign that said we would be charged$ 50 if we didn't leave the kitchen sparkling, meaning not only would we have to cook breakfast but completely clean up after that. Again, as we were on vacation, this did not appeal to me. I wish that had been spelled out in advance. We simply put the eggs and bacon to take home and went to a local cafe. It's probably best for a couples retreat. Small item but the to was in the living room and
