I've had favorable experiences with quality inn as a corporation. Their motels are usually simple but neat, things are in good working order, and the staff is courteous and effective. However, this Quality Inn in Owen Sound felt a little below its standard, mostly in terms of staff service quality. There are a number of tiny things there. The personnel were courteous but not too friendly or helpful. I was brushed off the first time I inquired about anything. And, even when I insisted, I received only a partial reaction. Start with answering the phone. The phone didn't answer twice as soon as it was answered. I had to go down to the receptionist in person. And even that, once or twice, I was compelled to wait when the staff disappeared into the back, probably because something else was more important. Breakfast was a short supply the one day I was there. However, a new shipment had just arrived. So, I asked if I should return at 12 he when they restock the breakfast area. Breakfast ends at 9 o'clock. So, I would be happy to finish at 9 o'clock if there was food to be had! It's not like I was late. There is a line forming in the meantime of people in need of food. We never returned or recommend this place. We stayed here while moving to another city and will not return or suggest it. The good thing is the very small bed comfy and the clean linens. The staff is very kind and helpful. The hallways are clean. The baseboard near the door was badly ripped up and the wallpaper was too large for the attached room, bathroom is dirty, shower curtain is pink with mildew and black mold. The entrance and room floor is dirty. Cheat drywall fragments and dust inside the attached ceiling many water stains pool was open but whirlpool was not. The pool looked nice but I didn't use it. I won't return or recommend it.

I had a lovely stay in this place. We were invited to stay in two rooms, each with two queen beds. The beds were cozy, and the room was incredibly clean. There was a microwave and fridge in the room. Although the bathroom wasn't glamorous, it included a single sink and a bathtubshower combo. There was a good supply of towels. Additionally, there was a tiny coffee pod machine that could make coffee and tea. Both an indoor pool and a fitness center were located on-site. A room with lots of seating off the lobby had a continental breakfast with cereal, muffins, toast, and fruit cups, as well as yogurt, coffee, tea, and yogurt boxes. The waffle maker wasn't working.
