We were a group of 5 on a 100 km motorcycle ride around Algonquin Park. We got two rooms at this lovely. My husband and I remained in the Amber Room. In fact, it was two rooms! Very comfortable bed, a large shower, lots of nice touches like a fridge, books, games. Access to the pool, etc. Rose and Paul were very welcoming and their dog Chloe was a cutie. Breakfast was good with homemade blueberry scones, fresh fruit, homemade strawberryrhubarb jam, bacon, and cooked eggs according to our preferences! We loved sitting on the front porch and chatting and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again.

This is an excellent home that has a very cozy and homey atmosphere. The proprietors are pleasant and kind. The rooms are spotless and have a lot of extra features that make a difference when you are away from home. My husband was able to use the chair lift because he struggles with stairs, which was his first time using it, and Paul and Rose were incredibly supportive and encouraging him to use it. I heartily endorse this place to remain, a home away from home.

One of four second-floor rooms was ours, the cobalt room. Although we normally avoid using a shared restroom, it was convenient and never a problem in this scenario. With all four rooms in a century-old home occupied, one might anticipate hearing noise at night, but we heard nothing but nothing, not even a door, footsteps down the stairs, or voices. It was quiet. The house offers the charm and history you would anticipate from a hotel with the comforts and cleanliness of the finest. Rosalie and Paul, our hosts, made us feel at home and at ease immediately. Breakfast was excellent, and Cleo would have allowed us to rub her belly all day!.

Beautiful historic property with gorgeous rooms. We chose the Amber Suite which was really nice because it had 2 rooms one with a bed and the other room with a couch and toilet and an adjacent bathroom. Near town for all kinds of food from pizza to chicken to whatever your taste. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed ourselves. Like being at home. Also motorcycle friendly.

We had a comfortable suit in a spectacular old house. Rose and Paul were instant friends. They not only made our stay comfortable but also shared their freshly picked apples and Swiss chard with us.
