I recently visited the Sotto Recreation Hotel, which is a fantastic south american hotel, to take in it's terrific reputation as a specialty spa location and spend a couple of hours there. I don't fully comprehend why I had such a horrible encounter. The spa appears to be only offered as part of an upscale massage package on floor 4, and the sauna and pool appears to only cost 258 rmb if you are a day visitor. After a helpful, but perhaps misinformed employee showed me a brochure indicating that a selection of spas were included in the 258 rmb entry fee. I initially spoke to about 6 employees before engaging in a lengthy argument with the manager who informed me that I couldnt use the spa. Although I don't speak a lot of Mandarin, she simply refused to cancel my entry fee, even though that was clearly a miscommunication due to language. I eventually left after only taking a shower and offered to pay them 100 money to try and avoid additional issues, which they relented. Highly advised for those who want to visit a spa hotel to actually use a spa. By the way, all of the other employees were friendly and sympathetic, the exception being the manager.

I had a great time in general, with a lot of luxury at the massage area. It's lovely, the rooms are clean, the food is incredible and plentiful, and the spa area with the great receptionists doesn't speak very well English, but they are willing to try hard to understand your request.

This place is extremely cool. Similar to everywhere else, the bathtubs themselves are common. But the complex itself struck me. Everything is included in the daily stay of $40. Dinner and breakfast. Table tennis, billiards, theaters, and rest rooms are used for games. But the most interesting aspect is that even cigarettes are provided for free. I suggest you try this place.
