The ground of this hotel is beautiful, serene. We took a walk thru it. The staff is very helpfu, butt only few speak english fluently. So download a english chinese translator app before you come. We had a massge in the spa. I would highly recomnend it after a day in old town Tongli which is walking distance from the hotel. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit to fully enjoy the spa and swimming pool.

Tongli lake view is a great hotel by chinese standards I would give it 4 stars as North america standards The breakfast was good. The pool and spa were also nice. Tongli ancient town is about 1km walk away and the hotel takes you to the main road about 200m away leaving a walk of approx 800m. The walk is about 20 minutes Overall happy with my stay and would recommend

Very close (walking distance if not raining) to the old city - allow a good day to cover it all, and this is one of the least commercialised water-towns accessible from Suzhou or Shanghai, but not much else to do there unless you're at a conference etc. that the hotel caters for. Good, comfortable, clean working room with full amenities, nice view of the lake, very good local arts shop in the lobby. The restaurant was OK - lack of English skill resolved by ordering via iPad with pix. If there was a hotel bar, I didn't find it (and I've got an experienced nose for them!!) which was a bit strange I thought.

In July 2020, we only remained for three nights. Our overall impression of the location was excellent. Our family of four children ages 4 and two resided in a room with two double beds. Inside, there were a few toys to play with. The fridge contained complimentary beverages. Although you would need a van to browse most foreign websites promptly, the internet was well-connected. We chose this hotel because there were activities for kids to take part in. There were bunnies you could feed yourself. There were strolls along the lake, which provided fountains and small bridges to cross. Outside, we played ball and bubbles. The outdoor play area is large enough and has a tidy section. There are three kinds of pools, one of which is sized for lap swimming, one of which is mostly used as a kiddie pool, and a kiddie pool with a water slide. I also went to the fitness center, where there are numerous treadmills, weights, and equipment for good exercise. There are four restaurants within the resort. In my opinion, the Ruby Chinese restaurant was certainly the best. A little pricey, but it was carefully prepared. We had afternoon tea at Karma it was ok cake but could have been better. The Saturday buffet was also excellent. Better than other chinese western buffets I've been to, but not as good as the international star hotels such as sangr

I think the hotel is good for a family trip but some foreigners commented that there was no open bar in the afternoon. The rooms are great, the internet is not very good so if you like to be isolated and enjoy family this is the place to be. Easy walking distance around the hotel to see the lake and some stores morning buffets are great many options. People in the hotel are very gentle and warm.

In July 2020, we stayed in a room with 2 double beds for our family of 4, which was between 4 and 2. There was a variety of toys to play with inside. There were complimentary drinks in the refrigerator. Although you would need a van to navigate most foreign websites quickly, the internet was well connected. We picked this motel because of the activities available to kids. You could feed some bunnies. There were stretches around the lake, with fountains and small bridges to pass over. We enjoyed bubbles and ball games outside. The indoor play space is large enough and has a neat layout. Outdoor playspace is mostly covered and has a sandpit. There are three types of pools, one of which was used more or less as a kiddie pool, and one with a sandpit. Unless you visit the closest mall and eat in the old town, there are not many restaurants nearby. The changing room includes a sauna, a different spa pool, and a stream room. There is a pizza bar with various spa pools, a sauna, and a sandbox. The breakfast was pretty good, but the breakfast selection was mostly Chinese. The zig saga, where the brunch, was also served. There was a good lunch, but no maple syrup. The saturday buffet was also quite excellent. Better than other Chinese western buffets

I think the hotel is nice for a family trip but some comment on foreigners, there is no open bar in the afternoon. Rooms are great, internet not very good so if you like to be isolated and enjoy family is the place to be. Easy walk around hotel to have lake view and some shops morning buffet is great many options.

No kidding, what a hotel! Excellent customer service and a sizable space. I think my only complaint is that it is too big, hehe. The hotel layout, the various decors, and the use of windows are in accordance with feng shui, so in terms of feng shui, it is a great design. Checkin can be a little quicker staff are friendly and able to accommodate foreign visitors. Free shuttle from the motel building entrance to the hotel entrance. This hotel is close to tongue 800 I from the beginning of the motel foundation to tongue ancient town. So great location. The rooms are great with everything you need. Love toiletries and free fruit juice and a bottle of water in your refrigerator, as well as the kettle and slippers. Very friendly cleaner women. Breakfast and food are nice, they also have Japanese restaurants etc. There are also many water sports and activities one glass church for weddings and a petting zoo with chooks and bunnies for kids. Not very close to zhou City, but transportation is convenient. Another random thing I would like to mention is the inclusion of a bible, which is somewhat rare in Chinese hotels. Im not religious, but it always brings a smile on my face when a hotel room caters to guests with different religious beliefs. Anyways good place with free activities, a swimming

The hotel itself is beautiful. The grounds are lovely and the decor is very tasteful id call it understated elegance. The facilities are top notch, from the spa to the rooms. There is also a nice looking place inside for kids to play as well. The bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were very clean. We enjoyed the fact that they had lots of bottled water and juice in the fridge. Robes, slippers, and other amenities were great. Breakfast is great. The people working in the hotel from checking to housekeeping were all very helpful and friendly. One is smoking in the hotel. The hallway reeked of cigarette smoke every time we exited our room. Thankfully our room did not smell of smoke. Other things were disappointed in this hotel. I had bolognese and my husband had eggplant pasta. Both were mediocre at best. What kind of Italian restaurant does not serve bread with the food? We were also disappointed in the coffee in the hotel. In a 5 star hotel I would expect fresh milk they use uh which has an odd flavor. We had coffee and cake in the italian restaurant and instead of using the lovely espresso machine behind the bar, they made the coffee from the automatic machine. There isn't much food close, apart from hiking into the lake town. But I advise just going to see the last two days of lunar new year festivities
