I have stayed at this hotel twice before. It took around one weekend to visit each place. I remained at the Mürschlosschen. Ok, the furniture might look a little old, the wallpaper and one lamp may need some updating, but besides that, this hotel is amazing. I suggest trying the mousse au chocolat because it is really delicious. The wellness area is very nice and helps you relax. The service is excellent. I will gladly return to stay in this hotel shortly. If you have a car, the area is also quite pleasant. There, you can enjoy hiking expeditions, and the service gives you enough information on possible excursions.

What a lovely property, an AMAZING breakfast! Unfortunately we did not get to actually stay at the hotel. For some reason the hotel did not receive our reservation despite the fact that Travelocity said it was confirmed. However, the Menzhausen employees were wonderful, and were able to find our family of seven rooms at another hotel 5 minutes away. Thanks to Johanning Gasthaus for accommodating our family at such short notice at 20;00 hours!!

Excellent food and attentive service. There are many places where you may relax and unwind while lingering over coffee or a drink. The room was pleasant and had a sizable bathroom. It was very hot because the air conditioner was not working.

The hotel munchausen is in the village of Star, deep in the countryside of central germany, a short drive from a major airport. Star is a town and municipality in southern lower saxons germany, in the southwestern part of the northern districts, and to the south of the selling forest hills which are part of the wiser uplands. The hotel is situated on mauerstrae, which is supposed to be oneway off Müllertor, and parking is limited. The hotel is a highquality hotel with a very modern reception and a very friendly staff. Some of the rooms are situated across the street and are spacious and some have lovely views of a quiet garden. However, the bathroom is also large, there is a twin window hatch from the bed area into the bathroom, so if you are coming with a new person, keep your privacy in mind. The room amenities are also excellent, although having to pay for coffee for the espresso machine is maybe a bit excessive. Id recommend eating there the night before my arrival and it was great. The breakfast was also excellent, with a good selection and was also very quiet. If you are in the area for business, Id recommend booking the hotel well in advance and dining at the restaurant.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im "Solling" Style, welches winzig klein war. Die Kapseln für die Nespressomaschine müssen mit 2,50 pro Kapsel bezahlt werden. Es stand auch keine kostenlose Wasserflasche bereit und es stand bei den Pflege Produkten ausschließlich Dusch – uns Haarwaschmittel zur Verfügung. In Anbetracht des Zimmerpreises finden wir das alles sehr kleinlich. Das Zimmer und Bad war sehr sauber. Der Garten beim Wellnessbereich ist sehr schön. Der Pool und die Sauna sind sehr klein. Aber es gibt einen sehr schönen Bereich außerhalb des Saunabereiches zum Entspannen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Essen im Restaurant war ok aber nicht besonders gut und überteuert. Die Produkte werden regional bezogen und das wird in einem kleinen Prospekt anschaulich erläutert. Das hat uns gut gefallen. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielseitig und sehr gut. Die Backwaren eher durchschnittlich.

Im Zentrum von Uslar, sehr gutes eigenes Restaurant, weitere fußläufig. Normales Zimmer recht beengt mit Schiebetür zum kleinen Bad (Gefühl wie fast ohne Tür). Zimmertür hatte Aufbruchspuren. Saunabereich gut, Renovierung der Innensauna müsste bald anstehen, Außenbereich und Schwimmbad sehr schön. Spabereich modern und ansprechend.
