Bed and Breakfast Tomang

Many of the important things you want from a B&B & especially in sweltering Jakarta are to be found at tomang’s: spotlessly clean rooms and facilities, good airco & WiFi, located in a quiet neighbourhood with friendly neighbourhood watch sitting on the doorstep, within easy walking distance of indomaret for shopping (or giant mall Central Park for that matter), bus-stop tomang mandalaroad of the famous Jakarta express (3500 rupiah takes you to most mayor hubs in the city) and to top it al of a great little cafe “gutenmørgen” around the corner. Most importantly lovely people & delicious breakfasts which were all great and never the same twice 14 days in a row: thank you again nurilah & rani! What then cost them their fifth star? Bloody nyamuks. Mosquitoes & not a klambu-net in sight, just an inefficient smelly contraption no match for the gap under the door. So bring your own for a pretty near perfect stay in real Jakarta. But donnnnn’t forrrrrrget...

We had a delicious breakfast, the room was cool and clean and the staff were super nice and accommodating. They ordered a taxi for us. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. Easy walk to the mall area. Loved it!

We stayed in B&B Tomang only for 2 nights but I wish we could have extended our stay. Very friendly owners, amazingly big breakfast. When the sun was out, breakfast was served on the terrace. What a pleasure to start the day in the sunshine! During our stay there were no other guests so we felt like the whole floor belonged to us, and we were never disturbed by the owners. The room was spacious with 2 twin beds, outside the room there was a big kitchen and bathroom. The owners take a good care of the place - it's very clean. Be aware that there is a mosque just next door to the guesthouse, so prepare for some 4AM chanting. Overall, highly recommended.

We only stayed one night, but it was really good. The place is spotless clean, even the bathroom. Good quality linen, even towels are provided. We had access to the kitchen (for tea, coffee), to the drinkable water tank and to the patio. The staff was really friendly and helpful, allowing us to take a shower before the hour of checkin since we just arrived from a really long flight. They booked a taxi for us, gave us directions... Even if we woke up really early, we had some breakfast prepared with toasts and juice. The place was calm and quiet, with AC. BnB Tomang is reachable by bus. Taxis can have a hard time finding it though, since the area is very quiet and not really in the center of touristic activities. We highly recommand this BnB!

The bed and breakfast is very lovingly run. We only stayed one night. Particularly noteworthy is the breakfast! Rarely have we experienced such a lovely breakfast! To complain about we have the shower and the a bit noisy house. However, the street noise is nothing to hear.
