Staffnya ramah, cuman fasilitas saja yang kurang lengkap, seperti sendal hotel. Hotel lama, jadi desainnya juga tua, dan meja tv saya sudah lepas lepas di bagian tepinya, tidak mengenakkan, tapi karena dapat harga promo, saya gak masalah.

Sebelum menginap saya kasih beberapa pengalaman pribadi di sini:
uang jaminan disini 50rb
1) Perbedaan antara Superior room dgn riverside sangat beda dalam pengurusan nya
contohnya: kualitas AC di superior atau kamar biasa tdk cepat dingin dan berisik drpd kamar riverside yg lebih bagus AC nya
2) breakfast selama 2 hari sedikit bervariasi
3) untuk berlengkapan mandi sabun tdk terefill secara berkala jd klo habis harus request
4) wifi disini sangat payah gk nyampe kamar di superior maupun yg riverside jd untuk penginap yg mengandalkan wifi untuk kerja sangat kurang rekomen
5)saat check-in pelayanan bagus barang2 dibawakan krn saat itu lift sdng rusak tp check out hrs request (bagi solo yg bawa koper besar)
6) Air panas di riverside lebih cepat panas drpd yg lain (tp diakali dgn bathub untuk menikmati air panas)
7)ada restoran dibawah jd bagi yg ada lebih bisa memesan makanan krn akses ke pusat lumayan jauh jika tak bawa kendaraan pribadi

Hotel bersih, pelayanan ramah, resto nya asyikk lho, klo pagi ada sarapan gratis yang menjadi service tamu. Klo malam hari di resto meriah, ada live musicnya klo dirimu hobby 'sing a song' baiknya ikutan mengisi suara disini, asalkan suara dan lagunya yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan ya agar diterima oleh tamu-tamu yang mendengarkannya. Suasana pagi di tepian sungai Kapuas ini sungguh menakjubkan. Sambil makan sambil menikmati suasana tepian sungai. Yuk lah mampir sini Kak...

The old hotel memories feels so strong and brought us back few years like time machine... the food at resto kapuas very tasty and have a good price and services.. eat beside the river feel the wind blow.. it was nice..

i stay in this hotel for one night, the room clean and there is balcon to see kapuas river and ships around hotel, positively stay in this hotel because near of taman alun kapuas (beside of hotel), and you could spending time afternoon on the ships to looking pontianak city in the night. but i guess this city not recomended for solo traveler due to a lot of scamming, and you must be carefuly,,

Kartika Hotel is such a kind of old hotel. Nothing interesting with design of the room and building. Their selling point is just their Kapuas River view. Don't ask too much if you want to stay at a modern & minimalis hotel. The room itself seems old-fashioned, with old-fashioned TV, and in some rooms old kind A/C and the water heater didn't work.
But if you really want to enjoy your morning breakfast with Kapuas River view, then you can choose this hotel.

I have been to the Kartika Hotel a number of times over the last eight years or so. It's listed at a fairly high price but the rooms are very plain. Breakfast is disappointing. Many features in the bathrooms don't work properly. Other than the river view, there really is nothing to recommend about this hotel. I was once even overcharged and didn't notice until I looked at my bill but was already at the airport and didn't want to miss my plane. There are many newer hotels in Pontianac, albeit without a river view, but a much better deal. Would stay at the Kartika again, but that's only me because I've enjoyed the river view. I've been visiting Pontianac now for about 19 years as I once lived in Kuching and spent several weekends in Pontianac. If you're not fussy about your room, then it's a passable hotel. TV channels are lousy! Not sure if WiFi was working or not as I only spent one night there and didn't try it.

This hotel was recommended to us for its location: bordering Kapuas River. One can have one's breakfast on a terrace while while watching the ships pass by.
Unfortunately the buffet breakfast itself was poor, bland. And our room (standard room for Rp 279,000 promo rate) could do with a facelift.
