Be ready to lower ur standard. Cheap hotel but everything is a bit dirty specially bed sheets and smelly pillows. Internet is ok. Good point is location. Central park and taman angrek accessible within 5 to 10' walking distance. Street food around quite convenient if you have strong stomach 😉

Checked in on the 29th of June 2018, Sent a message through Booking.com was told there was free wifi in the room. When I went to my room I found that the wifi couldnt maintain its low speed signal the point where every 15 minutes was having to restart my device. I went to the check in desk where I asked to know If I had infact connected to the correct username etc. I was told try another. So off I went to my room to find that in fact that particular login was worse. Couldnt even load youtube. Now as a business person I need to be able to connect to the wifi. I went to front desk and asked a very polite young lady if I could speak to a manager to be informed there is no night duty manager whatsoever. I then requested that the front office staff contact the manager to see if I could change rooms ormif something coupd be done about the wifi, maybe a reboot etc. Inwas told that the manager ANDI had said to tell me "thats just how it is"...... THATS JUST HOW IT IS!!!!! So now I make my full report.... the rooms are tiny. There was a small rat that I saw running down the hallway from the 'sky garden' which is fact a roof on top of the hotel where the towels and sheets are drying. The light for the lift was not on.... and there is nomclear signage for either the lift or the fire escape. I would not be staying at this location again and I will be making a complaint to the owner of the hotel due to the unprofessionalism of the front office manager ANDI

Pros: *Location The hotel is in the better areas of Jakarta and it's a 7 min walk to Central Park - a mall that everyone will suggest first (along with Grand Indonesia) whenever you ask "where should I go in JK?" There's Alfamidi (Indonesian 7/11) on the next building across the street, Indomaret (a convenience store) downstairs. Plenty of street food outside the hotel. The busway (transkakarta, which is sort of like the subway, only it's buses instead of trains) is also close - half way to the mall. *Ambiance The entire hotel is tastefully designed. Great attention to detail. Has the vibe of a real hotel, which is something that is lacking in almost all hotels in Jakarta at this price range. It feels professionally designed, by someone who is in the hospitality business and has a good understanding of the psychological aspect of interior design. I don't want to make it sound extravagant, it's not. It's pretty simple, yet aesthetically pleasing. Maybe it's the warm colors and lighting. It just feels comfy, and clean. *Comfortable bed From pillows to mattress to linen. Very comfortable. I would go so far as to say 4-5 star hotel quality. *Staff Really friendly girls at the reception. I asked house keeping one time ifAll staff look and act professional. They even wear uniforms with name tags - housekeeping; white, front desk; suits (yes, suits!), And kitchen staff; traditional Indonesian attire (if I can recall correctly). I should note though that a certain member in the upper ranks could come off as rude when presented with a challenge, but is, nonetheless, a genuine sweetheart when not in a stressful situation. *Big TV I'm not sure what size but definitely bigger than normal. And Samsung too, not a cheap no name Chinese brand like the other hotels. *A proper closet (sliding doors). *Hot shower...of course. *Everything works. Cons: *Breakfast The breakfast sucks! It's a buffet, from 7-10 (or was it 9)pm. It's always only Asian food - that's not the problem, although it could be, depending on your preference. It's the taste - it's just not delicious. I've never made food that took more than 10 mins to make but I feel confident I could cook better, more tasteful food. It's just disappointing. Moreover, they take FOREVER to bring out more food. I'm not sure how long you have to wait because in the 3 times I've stayed there I've never made it past 35 mins, by which time I'd already lost patience and appetite. By 7:30am, all there is to eat is plain white rice. Guests start coming in to empty chafers, shuffle around the buffet counter and proceed to their table with only rice from the rice cooker and maybe soup. There is usually just one employee behind the buffet counter doing the dishes the entire time, pretending not to notice. Funny thing is no one says a thing. The only thing that is not Asian is bread, jelly, margarine and chocolate. But if you are not there at 7am on the dot, you will miss your chance at it. 7:30 is like they were never there. They will clear the part of the table where they were, wipe it and put in it's place a box of tissues and cutlery. Also nothing cold to drink. No ice. Glass water dispenser serves thirst quenching warm water. Coffee is too strong, at least 3 times the strength it's supposed to be. Breakfast consisted of tofu fried pastry (Tatu), plain steamed white rice, fried fat noodles called Kwetiau goreng, chicken dices (which taste horrible), bread, margarine, jelly, chocolate, some sort of very sweet soup, ketchup, chili sauce, water, coffee and tea. *Mineral deposits and soap scum on bathroom fixtures and shower door. Symptoms of hard water. Makes the bathroom look dirty...or, bathroom is dirty... depending on how you want to look at it. Either way, they shouldn't look like that. Not too difficult to clean between guests. *No mini bar/fridge. Electric kettle only in deluxe and above rooms. *No internet on top floor. Not so great on the rest. *Reception speak very basic English. If you want to communicate anything beyond the basic hotel vocabulary (e.g. change room, check out, check in, clean room...etc), you'll have to break out your Google translator...if you don't speak Bahasa Indonesia that is. Would I stay here again? If they don't up their breakfast game, probably not. The value for money is perfect if the breakfast is good. Take away the breakfast and that value/$ ratio is knocked out of balance...IMO.

For those seeking very decent budget hotel near Central Park, Mal Anggrek, this is the hotel I would recommend. I was actually staying here 2 years ago too. The location is excellent, within walking distance to Central Park, Mal Anggrek. Just walk to the main road and cross the bridge. At the main road you would see Central Park right in front of you already. The room was a bit worn out though, stains on wall, but for the price paid and the excellent location, you really can't complain much. Breakfast was inclusive in the price and it's really good too for this class of hotel.
