When we were in Jakarta, New Idola Hotel was the second place we have changed after the small guest house. I and my partner we liked it, has large rooms and low prices and the cleaning service was working effectively. I'm surprised because I do not understand all these negative reviews, but probably as the people every experience is a different experience !

Everytime I went to Jakarta, most of my time will be staying in this Hotel. The only reason is because just in front of it there is Busway or Trans Jakarta station. So its very easy to travel around with that mass public transport. The hotel condition, its OK. Well dont expect a 5 star services in a budget hotel. I have tried the Superior and Executive room which is the most expensive room category in that hotel for IDR 350.000 a night. The room price is started from IDR 200.000 approximately $20 a night. So what do you expect from that kind of hotel price. Never had problem with hot water and A/C in my room so far. My only cons about this hotel is the breakfast. Sometime is good sometime its not at all. But again, dont expect a 5 star services in a budget hotel.

I believe that this is the de facto hotel for government officials and that is their main trade. It's certainly not one for visiting tourists or those otherwise on non government business! The room was basic, poor a/c but functional enough for an overnight stay. We went downstairs for a beer and the service was the worst I've ever witnessed in the whole of Asia!!! Asking to get served was clearly of some hindrance to them and I have never seen such sullenness in Indonesians let alone hotel staff. Thankfully we were only there a few hours before flying off elsewhere and we wandered outside for something to eat (and internet access).
One to be avoided I'm afraid, there are many better options in Jakarta.

it's a cheap hotel, but i regret for the services.
i'm staying at deluxe with hot and cold water services, but i had no hot water in my bath, when i complain they just inform me that my floor doesn't have hot water. and i can't change my room to other floor, what a meşs..
if you don't have a service, just don't sell it!! what for i pay for deluxe room if i just get an economy room.
2 star !!! bad hotel !!

Disaat mengantar teman yang perlu penginapan, dan kata teman yang menginap, acnya kurang dingin, kamarnya agak pengap.kamar mandinya agak kurang terawat, krannya juga agak susah dibuka, jendelanya cuma 1 gorden aja jadi mash kelihatan dari luar
