We had such a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful and the trekking for 3 days and 2 nights they organized was absolutely amazing. The main guide monang was just a blessing. We had very interesting conversations and learned a lot about the orangutans and the country. The cook and the other younger guide were so taking care of us. The food during the trek was perfect, far from the basics. We had a great time and will never forget it.

The staff at the Orangutan Hotel rocks!! Their Orangutan Treking guides certainly live up to their reputation, and I managed to see several Orangutans on my one and only trek into the rainforest..I was later told that many people spend days in the jungle without seeing anything, so I feel very lucky. The hotel has some great views and is located in an excellent spot in relationship to local shops and restaurants.

The rooms are very spacious and clean with a great view! When planning your trip to bukit lamango, this is the place to stay! Had a very good experience in the hotel and the 3 day trekking! The guides take very good care of you and make sure you have a memorable experience and a full belly!.

We had an amazing time at hotel orangutan! We went on a 2day trek, and we saw an abundance of wildlife. We were welcomed like family by everyone we encountered. Would suggest it to anyone. Just be careful, the monkeys will drink your whiskey, so be prepared. Thank you, kasih nels team!.

We had an amazing stay and a jungle trek with hotel orangutang. The staff is very friendly and did a great job during our stay. Our guides on the jungle trek, abri, andre and the chef, were amazing throughout the whole trek. We managed to see 7 orangutangs including a wild male and several closeups a truly amazing experience.

Kami menginap di kamar yang lokasinya di lantai atas, dan perlu semangat ekstra untuk menaiki tangganya. Namun, hal itu sangat sepadan, karena kamarnya bagus dan nyaman. Pagi hari, banyak monyet yang datang. Pemiliknya juga sangat ramah.

親切でフレンドリーなスタッフと清潔なお部屋で快適でした。ホットシャワーはぬるいぐらいの温度だし、雷で町中が停電したり、WiFiも弱いけれどジャングルに宿泊なので気になりませんでした。トレッキングやバットケーブ、ビレッジツアー、象のリハビリテーションセンターなど色々なアクティビティも頼めばすぐに手配してくれます。トレッキングでは知識豊富なガイドが色々と教えてくれ、見せてくれ、本当に楽しかったです。日帰りトレッキングより、最低でも一泊はする事をおすすめします。送迎などを頼むのであれば、直接連絡をいれれば対応してもらえます。

We stayed at the Hotel Orangutan because of its status as a non profit organization. They dedicate a portion of their profits to preserving the orangutans and their habitat. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like family. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Most evenings someone was in the lobby playing a guitar and singing - super chill vibe here. The hotel arranged a private day-long trek for us with guides Apri and Andra. It was an incredible experience we will never forget and our guides were knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. We asked for a challenging trek to see as many orangutans as possible and the day far exceeded our expectations! We would highly recommend the Hotel Orangutan. We were in the Sky room and had monkeys come daily to our deck. The room was huge and the condition was good - sparse, but typical of Bukit Lawang.

Communicatie met hotel ging heel vlot, ze stonden ons op te wachten aan de bus. Heel mooie kamer en lekker eten. We deden ook een jungle tweedaagse met hen en ook dat was prima geregeld. Lekker eten, leuke en interessante gidsen,... Een aanrader!

Tuan rumah yang sangat ramah sedang menunggu kami di Hotel Orangutan. Hotel ini terletak di pusat kota dan menawarkan pemandangan yang indah. Anda dapat makan enak di hotel (a la carte), tetapi banyak restoran terdekat juga menawarkan makanan enak. Orangutan Hotel mendukung banyak urusan organisasi. Jadi kami dijemput dari Medan dan dibawa ke hotel. Kami menikmati tur hutan 2 hari yang indah dengan pemandu pribadi kami yang hebat, Jerry. Terima kasih! Perjalanan minibus atau transportasi ke Danau Toba juga diselenggarakan. Terima kasih atas surga liburan yang indah ini!

This place is amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had trouble booking a flight online and while we were hiking, the hotel bought a flight for me over the phone and just added coat to our room bill. Above and beyond! The rooms at the top of the hill are a bit of a trek, but its well worth it for the view. The food was really good, especially the tempe and anchovie sambal! And the live entertainment was great!.

This place is amazing. Angel is the best hotel manager ive encountered both city and remote. He will ensure the best bukit lawang experience. Do not book tours until you speak with him seriously. He will negotiate a price with a private guide the same as group tours. And eat the chicken redang.

I had a great time here. The people who run the hotel were so lovely! My guides, andra and yosi, were great and went above and beyond to ensure that i was satisfied with every aspect of the trip. We went on two days of jungle trekking. The guides are very knowledgeable about the environment and the animals. We also had a great time in the village, and the hotel feels like it runs really smoothly. I felt very relaxed while staying here and will tell my friends to come here if they visit indonesia. Thank you hotel orangutan for the wonderful memories.

Recently, we spent three nights, including an overnight jungle trek. The personnel are all extremely welcoming, and the village is generally welcoming as well. The rooms are spacious, as you would expect, with no air conditioning or other amenities. The overnight trek was fantastic, and our guide, andra, and assistant, jody, were outstanding and incredibly welcoming. It was wonderful to see four orangutan species. All in all, a fantastic place to stay and an amazing experience. Would suggest it!.
