I stayed at Lovinas for about two weeks after arriving to Krui with no accomodation. I checked out pretty much every place within the area, and wow am I glad I settled there. Yoris and his wife Fransiska were absolutely superb! Some of the best hosts I’ve ever had, anywhere. Just lovely ppl, with a terrific bunch of staff, that will really go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. The location is excellent, the food is great and plentiful, Lovinas itself has by far the best vibe I came across... testament to this is the fact that many of the other local and western owners drop by and hang out there daily, whether to have a beer or a chat and just hang out. The price is spot on, which is definitely not the case for some of the other more expensive, western owed options (nb I am not referring to Mandiri BC - the boys there actually referred me to lovinas. But you’ll prob figure it out once you see the giant, always-closed gate blocking you off from the rest of Krui).
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. There’s a few options around that are owned by westerners and located closer to Krui. Some better than others, some really unjustified for the price. Lovinas is locally owned and ran, and they accommodate anyone that walks through the door. It’s closest to the better waves in the area. Don’t be fooled by staying up near Krui itself. The vibe and waves round the point are better IMO. Honestly, it’s a 10/10 for me. Yoris is an absolute gentleman and deserves every accolade that comes his way. As do all the staff and his lovely wife. They’ll sort you out anything you need, and make sure you get to whatever waves you like, however you like.
Cheers guys!
