Berkunjung ketika pandemi, kamarnya luas kamar mandiny juga luas, tp hanya saja pertama kali masuk kamar mandi bau pesing, utk breakfastnya diambilkan oleh petugas, jadi kurang leluasa yah walaupun utk kebaikan, tp hotel yg laen bs ambil sndiri.. Tp apapun itu utk viewny oke bgt laut lepas, ac kamar dingin layanan cepat, smg pandemi ini sgera bearkhir

Proses Check in/Out Cepat. Receptionist yang profesional ramah dan cekatan. diberikan toleransi sedikit waktu untuk late checkout.
Kamar bersih, handuk putih dan bersih gorden bathub putih dan bersih (agar dipertahankan).
Untuk tekanan aliran air toilet bisa lebih ditingktkan.

When checked in I started to feel safe when I was asked to show my Covid test result before signing registration form. All staffs also wore masks and hand gloves. They also have clinic to make sure that they are ready to give medical attention and treatment to all guests.
The room was spacious and I could get additional amenities just a call away and free.
They also gave me choices whether using water from dispenser outside or bottle inside.
The food was also good both in room service and buffet. They also applied health protocol in the restaurant. The GM usually came during breakfast to say hi to all guests.
All staffs were also friendly and helpful.
I might stay here if I have job to do around. I really apreciate their attentions for their guests by providing good service and keeping their guests healthy at the same time.

Breakfast with a range of sumptuous meals, variety of tropical fruits, selections of cheeses, Japanese sushi rolls, toasted cakes and bakery plus - of course - a range of local cuisines really made some refreshed mornings amidst tight business travels. Panoramic Balikpapan's bay and Makassar straits' view from the distance height, along with oil vessels, inter-insular ships, fishermen's boats and off-shore rigs really made my days to and fro in this historic yet clean n neatly arranged city of oil refinery. Pride of all these are always within and beyond. Thanks, (was Hotel Balikpapan is now) Novotel Balikpapan.

The hotel was great, we were welcomed by excellent staff at Novotel Balikpapan.The food we enjoyed during lunch was extremely delicious (Rendang). The restaurant staffs were very friendly and welcome. The General Manager (Mr.Florent) was very kind and professional. Dinda from Guest Relation Officer was extremely attentive, professional and friendly. Her hospitality skills should be considered by Accor. She is a treasure and asset for hospitality industry. I am highly support for her next journey on BTOTY Competition in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

Excellent service. Great ecological awareness (instead of plastic bottles, you get a refillable glass flask to use with water coolers in the hallway). I'd give it 5 stars if it had more consistent wifi.

Stayed at this hotel last week and found it quite adequate for our stay. Rooms were sufficiently spacious and the aircon was in good working order.
There is good management supervision at this hotel with the GM visiting guests at breakfast for feedback, as indeed was the case previously.
I was disappointed by the poor restaurant at The Square restaurant in the hotel. Prawn bisque was cold and tasteless and my salmon main course over cooked and cold. It was not inexpensive. It had an adjacent bar with comfortable seating. I had little time to enjoy the hotels facilities.
Rooms were comfortable and I slept well. Wifi works well.
If your staying here and you need to eat - just slip out of the hotel turning left - down the hill to the sea front and there is an excellent selection of bars and restaurants less then ten minutes walk away and you can’t get lost.
