We landed in JKT on NYE 2020 and were ordered to quarantine and met a wonderful staff member from the hotel at the bus area. We negotiated a deal so we could spend time with each other with connecting rooms, the staff member arranged this before we arrived at the hotel and made the process seamless
We had our two small children with us at the time so tensions were running high but the check in process at the hotel was great, we then met Hendi who is part of the Guest relations team. He checked us in, followed up constantly throughout our visit and provided valuable information during our stay. As a former hospitality worker I haven’t received, or seen, such dedicated and personal care from a member of staff more than Hendi. We spoke to other people during QT and they also had glowing praise regarding Hendi as well. Some people actually do care, especially during difficult times in a foreign country/city and will go above and beyond to assist when needed.
I also want to thank all the staff at the Novotel as they were all very positive and helpful for travellers during difficult times.
Hendi, you’re a star, you deserve so much recognition and credit and just a positive person that wants to help people in need. I recommend anyone to stay at the hotel, quarantine or not, I’m sure we will be back again when everything is (hopefully) normal again.
