Rangga Homestay

The staff were awesome (one man and his family). They let us check in early and check out late with no extra fee. We felt very safe staying here. Outside of the room there is a sitting area with a water tank you can use to drink from, kettle, and coffee/tea and drying rack. Really nice touch, saved a lot of plastic water bottles. Delicious breakfast every morning with fresh fruit and eggs/toast or pancakes. Clean and spacious room with strong A/C, with large bathroom and nice shower attached with reliable hot/cold water. Everything seems super new. The location is a bit inland and tucked away, so it’s easy to reach a bunch of the different areas on the island and it’s also pretty quiet.

The room was one of the cleanest we had. The bathroom was great. I liked the style of the room and furniture! You can sit on the little terrace and you also have your own drinking water, coffee and tea! Its not near to the beach and it was a little difficult to find the place cause it’s not directly next to a street. But locals are very helpful. I didn’t mind to have a little walk to the beach, cause the island is very little. The breakfast was very good (I liked a lot the fruit salad with yoghurt!). Best price! Recommend!

I've been staying in one of Rangga Homestay's slightly older rooms for 6 months and I love it. Very quiet, clean and safe with powerful air con and reliable hot water. The little shop at reception is super convenient. The family running the place is so lovely they do a great job with laundry and can also fix bikes and chase away monitor lizards on request.

Myself and my husband really enjoyed our stays (we stayed twice) at Rangga. The family were lovely and the ensuite rooms with outdoor seating area we're very spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were delicious. The location is really central in the island, nestled among local homes and so it's a great base to explore any side if the island from. Highly recommend.

This hotel is super new and was not easy to find - it's not even on google maps yet! it's a little off the main street but the island is so small that you can access anywhere by foot or bike. The hotel offers bike rentals at 40k per day. The free breakfast is great! since there's no restaurant on site, the breakfast gets brought to your room! the rooms have a private outdoor seating area outside of it so I would eat my breakfast there every morning. breakfast would be coffee/tea, fresh fruit or yogurt, pancakes or toast. very filling and delicious! The rooms are very clean and the bed is quite firm. the AC is strong. Wifi is alright (around 2 mbps which is not bad for Gili Air). There's a little convenience store at the hotel which sells some basics at some fair prices. within a 2 minute walk, there's a grocery store, a massage place, and plenty of restaurants. I feel this hotel is great value.
