Sleepy Raccoon Hostel

The owner is often at the front desk and is very positive, friendly and helpful. He made me feel at home straight away, and that is also what he said to me; "please feel at home!" The place is clean and comfortable. Good mattrass, pillow and bedding. Several shared toilets/showers with hot water. The downstairs common area has comfortable sofas, cooking facilities and unlimited coffee, tea and refill water. And a guitar 🙂 a breakfast of toasts and spreads included. It is cheap to stay here and they have some women-only rooms. The hostel is located next to a famous area for street food. If getting take-away food don't forget to borrow a take-away box from the hostel to avoid all that plastic and styrofoam at the street vendors. It was a little hard to contact them before arrival; tried 2 phone numbers, emailing and booking through their website without getting a reply. I suspected that they were closed but I decided to go anyway and found them open. This did not affect my overall experience there as they were really nice people.

Been here couple times. Always have a special event, homie place with amazing people. Never get disappointed. If you are looking for place to stay in Jakarta, don't think twice, just come here and you gonna love it!

Wrote this review due of my memories back then. Positive vibe, cool people and strategically located. I still remember vividly how this hostel introduced me to a home away family. Keep up the good work Raccoon!

As soon as you arrive you will feel like inside a family, that is the most important thing for who travel alone like me, beacuse immediatly you make friend and you find people to stay with. Nothing to add

Great Location - Nearby convenience store, street food and 10mins to Mangga Besar Train Station. The hostel is just 2mins from the main road with lots of street food day & nights. easy to walk to the train station that can bring you to Jakarta Old Town - a tourist attraction site Best Staff - The hostel staffs are friendly and helpful at all times. They will also look into the details of your safety with good advises given. Cleanliness - The hostel is well maintain and clean. Sleepy Raccoon buddies, keep up the good work. You have done a good job
