This is the worst experience i ever had thru my regular visit in this hotel. Front office guy that worked at jan 31st noon was not being nice and polite during the service when i checked in. - not being well served when i check in,keep pouting and no smile - i was put in the very far wing room - i booked the wrong type room and wanted to upgrade but he didnt seem happy for it - i already gave my car police number to register for parking fee,but when i went out the parking officer said my car wasnt registered yet and had to pay normal - i was given wifi passwords but not valid on the third day This front officer guy (his colleague daid the name is Herman when i asked them while checking out rellay dissapointing and not acted like the front officer taht should gives best service and be nice to guest, specially regular guest.

hotel yang katanya bintang 5 ini, mempunya lokasi di sunter dengan posisi tepat depan danau sunter. sy datang cek-in pukul 2 siang dan baru dapat kamar jam 4.30. resepsionisnya sangat tidak friendly, sangat kasar, sombong, dan seenaknya. kata2 yg keluar sangat tidak beradab!! ketika cek out pun, saya dan keluarga diminta oleh resepsionis lewat telepon kamar untuk cepat2 keluar, padahal sy sdh minta izin untuk solat dzuhur dahulu selama 15 menit, tetapi tidak diizinkan!! padahal sy cek out pun tidak lebih dari pukul 12.15!! ini hotel terburuk yg pernah sy inapi. hanya tempat tidur dan luas kamar yang positif dari hotel ini. selain itu kamar mandi rusak, karena WC tidak dapat di flush, dan teknisi sangat lama merespon keluhan. kualitas sarapan jg sangat buruk, tidak lebih baik rasanya dari rumah makan padang depan hotel. amat sangat tidak reccomend

dari fornt office aja sudah ramah banget pelayanannya.. dan ini bukan pertama kali kami menginap disunlake hotel.. pokoknya TOP buat hotel sunlake.. harga memang ga bohong

This is probably the best hotel under Rp 1million/night i have ever spent on. The room was huge, with a king size bed, a two seater sofa, a reclining seat that is probably rebuilt/reconditioned with a tub. Check in took me 4minutes, and they upgrade me because the room i booked did not have a tub which i requested on the hotel app. The AC was super cold!! Loved it! Swimming pool was not too cold, there was a 2m x 2m sauna in the change room. Loved my stay. Am thinking of spending the NY here

The first impression when arriving at the hotel is the unfriendly service on entrance lobby welcomed by 1 security team. Maybe because I arrived at night, only security and 1 front desk were in charge and I was fine with it... Room was checked in by my sister in the afternoon The hotel design is attractive and seriously I love vintage vibes like elevator design , it brought me to 80’s old movies vibes and it was nice because from the elevator you can see Sunter Lake then I was a little surprised at this price We got a quite spacious room with a king size bed and a bath tub as well. For the room I felt it was worth it. However, I was annoyed in the morning around 5 am when I asked to provide 2 extra chairs in the room because all of us will do make up at the room due to it was my sister’s wedding. The front desk refused and told me that no staff could deliver the chairs to the room at that time. Another staff member will arrive at 8am and offer to deliver at that hour. I explained that I needed them at this time and begged to help me and went for extra mile service but he was too stubborn and had argument with the man. What annoying reason it was!!! He does not put himself in the position of a guest and there is no extra service Hotel team have to train staff and better yet to solicit guest requests We know everyone has been affected by this pandemic That’s why you are short staffed at night But , Heyyy !!! C’mon guyss you are in the hospitality industry You have to know how to better handle such situations Then upon check out time , I saw 2 receptionist and no one greeted, and no one offered a help to bring our luggages even we passed by 1 concierge and 1 security and they were enjoying their convo. Anyway it was fine , I thought it was their hotel standard or staffs are helpless We chose this hotel just because it is close to the holy matrimonial church. You give respect and you get respect

Good value for money. Good facilities including a 25m pool and gym. Good view of Lake Sunter. Only negative is it is too far away from other parts of Jakarta. Good shopping facilities with 3 big malls nearby, Artha Gading, Mall of Indonesia, Kelapa Gading Mall

Another Golden Oldie which I am sure was popular in its day. Pro's: - large room, mostly clean (dusty and smelly carpet) - air conditioning excellent - open balcony overlooking Jakarta, a very interesting cityscape. To work on.... - Wifi, inconsistent and really annoying. had to constantly log back in. Frustrating to do any work. Ended up hot spotting off my phone. - Front desk, lots of staff looking very busy, mainly talking with each other - walked past a few times, no one ever looked up, until one trainee did on my second day...Very pleasant, nice smile and great acknowledgement. A pity she was the best on the desk! - Booked an executive room, higher rate and on the executive floor. Upon check in I was reading there is an executive lounge, which I don't qualify for. Executive room on executive floor at executive room rate, however didn't qualify for executive lounge - which was another additional cost. Your guess is as good as mine. - Amenities in room, NO soap, only shower gel and condition, 2 toothbrushes and a shower cap... Amenity box dusty and sticky to open. Not sure which type of guests they are aiming at. - there is a list of costs for broken items, very extensive. Marks on walls cost IDR1,500,000 per spot. By now was quite nervous as to the type of hotel I had chosen. - Bed hard, could feel the springs - hot water in the shower is inconsistent, with bursts of really hot water every few minutes. Keep your shower short. - Arm chair, looked comfortable, however the padding was totally gone, so you sat on metal supports - Massage, expensive and she appeared extremely bored. - Bar, empty and expensive, happy hour is on a JUG of beer, bought before 4pm. - Many restaurants, all appeared empty when I walked around. - breakfast, the filter coffee is better than the espresso. The espresso was very bitter (maybe clean the machine?). Breakfast was simply and average quality for a local Indonesian hotel. Overall lacks any personality or vibrancy, with many staff looking very busy (doing?), many promotions with no guests (that I could see). Book in if you must (my first choice of hotel was 100% full, so i decided to see how this hotel was) and don't have expectations above being able to sleep with great air conditioning. There is little competition around the hotel or to its east, it could do really well. Left the hotel early as it is more comfortable to sit at the old T2 airport to wait for my flight....

We were using the Sunlake hotel as a staging point for covid quarantining prior to boarding a vessel for work. The hotel has a nice art deco style and although a bit old still felt quite nice, I'm a sucker for vintage. Our room was nice and big and enough room to do my daily exercises to keep healthy whilst quarantining. The bed was a big king size but very very hard, just a personal preference I guess, I don't like hard beds. There wasn't a single English speaking TV channel. Because we were in quarantine we weren't able to visit the hotel's facilities so I can't comment on those. My room was very clean and staff were very prompt whenever I requested replacement bathroom items or tea/coffee making items. The menus in the room are for 5 or 6 different restaurants but only the Korean and cafe were actually taking orders, probably due to covid. The hotel is old and they need to add a couple of English TV channels but this is a good value for money spot.
