Tanjung Karang Hotel Bengkulu

Tanjung Karang Hotel is a small hotel in Bengkulu, but it has good bed room, clean bathroom, cozy lobby, and warm heart from the staff. I stayed for 3 days and really enjoy to stay there. Beside, we had breakfast in the morning, the hotel offer snack in the evening. The breakfast is so so but it is recommended place to stay.

I stayed for 3 nights with my family to visit my sister who lives in Bengkulu. I took this hotel because the location is very near to my sister's place. This hotel was recommended by my other family who had stay before. From reception to housekeeper were amazing. They are really took a good care of you. Smile and their hospitality skill equal to 5 stars hotel. And also we met the owner who were busy on his project for his hotel. He is really nice and he's very down to earth person. I'll recommend this hotel to my friends who will visit Bengkulu

Those that appreciate cleanliness will love it here! Found Air Con to be a necessity. WiFi worked well. Better bathroom design will please westerners. Toiletry basics provided. No lift so third floor is a bit of a climb. Housekeeping or other employees were noisy early in the AM (staff only room beside mine). Location not the best for dining or shopping. No taxis but local transport vans run past out front. I didn't care for breakfast (Indonesian) or the restaurant but I think locals enjoy it.

The location may not be away from the beach, the good thing is it is a new hotel with clean room. It's also located by the road where local transportation passes so it is not so difficult to reach local historical places like the fort and historical houses of Bengkulu. The staff is also helpful. The only shortcoming is for the single travelers since their rooms are on the 3rd floor where no lift is available, but don't worry, the staff is ready to help. The nearby restaurants are few hundred meters away, but next to the hotel there is a Indonesian restaurant that offers variety of food, you can also ask for room service. If you want to rent a car, it's better to book from outside, the last time I booked the car from the hotel, it is not reliable in terms of the time.

Clean and bright room. Not big, but spacious enough. Friendly ad helpfull staff. Okay breakfast buffet. In front of the hotel you can catch angkots and travel cheaply to sightseeing spots such as Benteng Marlborough
