Yesterday on 03rd October 2017, representing my Aunt, I phoned The Waigo Hotel Sorong at 0951 - 331991 to ask for the Superior Twin Room' s price including discount plus 1 extra bed and other information for 20th October 2017 - 21st October 2017.
The Receptionist was Ms. Meidy and she stated that the discount was 20 % for the room ( IDR 396480 nett after discount ) with an addition of 1 extra bed ( IDR 161000 nett ).
Thus, the total nett price was IDR 557480 / night including free breakfast for 3 persons.
Furthermore, Ms. Meidy stated that the hotel does not provide free airport transfer including free shuttle service to the Sorong Port which was contrary to what I have read at some reviews in internet such as Tripadvisor, etc. In the end, she stated that she would ask regarding this matter to the General Manager of the hotel.
Afterwards, I sent an e- mail dated 03rd October 2017 to the hotel for confirmation based on the phone conversation with Ms. Meidy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Waigo Hotel Team never replied the e-mail until today, 04 October 2017 and so I tried several times from morning until afternoon to contact the hotel via phone. The hotel never answered the phone.
Then, I asked my Aunt to contact the hotel via her phone and there were no answers as well.
For double check, I tried to contact other hotels in Sorong area such as Royal Mamberamo and Marina Mamberamo. Both hotels promptly answered the phone. Thus, there are no telecommunication problems in Sorong today, 04th October 2017.
For final attempt, I asked my aunt for sending e-mail to the hotel regarding the cheapest price of the Superior Twin Room with discount.
The Waigo Hotel Team answered the e-mail not long after and stated that the price for twin ( 2 people ) was IDR 495600 / night and IDR 420000 / night with and without breakfast, respectively.
Obviously, the booking was cancelled and now I know why The Waigo Hotel Team never answers my e-mail and phones.
The value of honesty and integrity does not exist in The Waigo Hotel Team.
