This is a wonderful location to visit the towns of Saloto, Assist, Montefalco, and other. It is off the beaten path and is in a lovely location. The rooms themselves are small and basic but very comfortable. The bed was particularly comfortable! But most importantly, the proprietors, a family that has been managing the hotel for years, are very helpful, friendly, and pleasant to be around. I had five wonderful days there in April 2018.

I recently spent one night at this lovely family-run hotel in one of the beautiful northern hills. We were a group of 12 friends who descended peacefully on Elisabeth and her family and I honestly cannot say that I have ever had a hotel reception more enthusiastic or hospitable than this. We were introduced to the many generations of family members in the surrounding area and were immediately made to feel one of them before being whisked away to enjoy light refreshments including delicious home-baked pastries on the patio with views of the picturesque valley below. Our stay continued with the high standard of hospitality and catering quality. The evening meal featured savory tomato bruschetta, followed by home-made pasta, and finally grilled meat, salad, and a home-made cake as the grand conclusion. Breakfast, which isn't always an Italian gastronomic highlight, didn't disappoint here, and we enjoyed a wide variety of foods, each one of which was personalised to specific tastes. No humbling considering the size of our group. The rooms were decorated in a simple and traditional manner, and the peaceful surroundings and excellent catering guaranteed a good nights slumber. We departed with regret to the family the following morning and went on our way, vowing to return to this stunning oasis whenever

My mother and I visited Fontanelle for the first time 35 years ago. I have enjoyed this wonderful restaurant and this tiny family hotel for so many years, particularly over the years when I have lived there. The internet made it possible to locate it once more in 2008. I made a booking for 2009 straight away. I feared destroying such a precious thing. But that fear was unfounded. They were the same there, but now they have a lovely pool that is run by the same family. It was as if they met me and my wife in their own home, and we are, in fact, friends. The small hotel is charming, rustic, simple, and cozy. You truly feel at home. Among the main attractions of Maria are all close by and high in the mountains. And their food is still outstanding. Maria will not have a nicer meal. I ate the roast lamb, which was unquestionably the greatest I've ever had. We made it a point to bring my mother, who had known Fontanelle for several years, back last year, who had a fondness for Fontanelle. The service and friendliness of the Stella family welcomed us once more. As always, the cuisine was excellent. As soon as and as frequently as possible, I will return and suggest that anyone looking for a base to explore Maria or sample the greatest Brian home cuisine include

Stunning hotel with a wonderful restaurant. The building and grounds are perfectly maintained, and the pool was quite refreshing after a long day of traveling. The hosts are pleasant and helpful. The meal was also really good. The restaurant is full in the evening, but the service is attentive and good. Highly recommended.
