[Daily Cleaning and Amenity Services Update – April 2024]
As part of our efforts to reduce waste in line with our SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), the property will be moving from daily cleaning services to an on demand service. We would like to inform all of our customers that starting from April 1st 2024, all guests at the property will only receive room cleaning services upon request. However, please note that in order to keep the hotel hygienic, we will clean the room once every three days even if no request was made.


According to local tax regulation, effective from October 1, 2018 guests should pay accommodation tax surcharge directly to the property upon check-in (per person per night):

Tax JPY 200 - for room rate of JPY 19,999 and under per night.
Tax JPY 500 - for room rate between JPY 20,000 and JPY 49,999 per night.
Tax JPY 1,000 - for room rate of JPY 50,000 and over per night.
Pets are strictly not allowed at the property.
The breakfast fee for children will be required to pay upon check-in as follows.
0-5 years old: Free
6-11 years old: JPY 750 per child per meal
12 years old and over: JPY 1,500 per person per meal
There are 4 Daiwa Roynet Hotels in Kyoto. This is Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto Ekimae. Please confirm which one you are booking and check-in to the correct one.
We would also like to inform you that, whereas before all rooms received the same amenities, we will now provide each room with specific amenities tailored to each guests’ individual needs (Excludes Premier hotels).

By reducing the frequency at which guest rooms are cleaned, we hope to reduce waste water, reduce water pollution and conserve energy. Accomplishing this will ultimately lead to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. By also limiting the distribution of amenities to guest specific items, we hope to reduce plastic waste and alleviate the impact we are having on the environment.

We are aiming to achieve this goal in the most environmentally friendly way possible by offering sustainable comfort throughout all of our hotels. During the refurbishment work, the ice machine corner and alcohol vending machine corner on 2F will be not accessible. Please ask the front desk for ice. For alcohol purchases, we are very sorry. Please use the nearby convenience stores for alcohol purchases.
