Great location, close to train station. A lot of eateries in the streets and department stores. Hotel is very clean, lobby staff were friendly. We were on the 15th floor, corner room, so it has a great view. It also has laundry machines located on several floors. So I did a load of laundry, real convenient.

The Tokyu Stay Hakodate Hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Hakodate. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff provided exceptional service, making us feel welcome and well cared for. The hotel's facilities are excellent, with the added convenience of in-room laundry and a kitchenette, making it ideal for longer stays. One of the standout features is the onsen, which offers both indoor and outdoor bathing options with breathtaking views of the sea, city, and mountains—truly a serene experience. As part of the hotel's eco-friendly approach, the rooms are not fully serviced daily, but they do provide a daily change of towels and clear the trash, which was a thoughtful balance between sustainability and comfort. The location couldn’t be better—right next to the bustling morning markets and just a few minutes' walk from the train station, tram, and bus services, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The room size was reasonable for Japan, offering a cosy but comfortable space to relax after a day of sightseeing. Overall, I highly recommend Tokyu Stay Hakodate for its excellent service, modern amenities, and perfect location.

Excellent stay! Only 2 minute walk to Shinjuku Station and Express Bus Station to airport. The only down side to this hotel is rooms are extremely small and hardly any closet space. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

So clean and spacious! We were worried about the size of the room given that Tokyo is known for its smaller hotel rooms. But the one we had was much bigger than some we've even stayed in stateside (looking at NYC in particular - expensive and tiny). We felt more than comfortable in our room and had space for all our luggage (two carry on suitcases and a large check-in), albeit we did have to keep them closed and the big luggage needed to be stored on the side underneath the TV shelf. The staff here was super friendly / helpful at all hours. The biggest win here is the location - like 5 min walk to the south entrance of Shinjuku station, which is home to many critical train routes that help you access the rest of Tokyo much faster (i.e., Yamanote line)

This is a great hotel in a phenomenal location. Our room was always neat and clean. The staff was very helpful when we needed directions. There is a smoking room, which is great for those who need it. There's even a place to get a stamp for your stamp book! Again, I cannot stress enough how exemplary the location is. This is where I'm going to stay every time I go to Tokyo.
