I search on the internet about this newly build capsule concept hotel. I was impressed with the internal design and hotel staff so friendly. I stay here just 1 night but it was a good night, very comfort and less interuption. I recommended this place for all traveller.

Very new. They have a nice and cozy lobby. Lobby staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed in the mixed dorm room. The bed is very comfortable and clean! But i think the toilet can be more clean. When i arrived, it's a bit smelly and dirty on the ground. The toilet papers were all finished. Maybe it's customer's personal problem, hope the management can arrange toilet cleaning twice a day or three time a day.

Great concept. Capsule is complete with power point, air conditioning and lighting. Inside capsule is spacious. Provides own privacy even in a sharing room. Common area and toilets are extremely clean.

Price - value for the amount you paid and cheap to certain extent Facilities- the capsule bed is very comfy and clean but would be better if they upgrade the pillow to a better one. And better lock system as well. Toilet is clean, but water pressure in shower room slightly low. Drinking water is available for free 24 hours at the main lobby, and free fast wifi. Location - good location as it within 50m from the jetty, and alot local food-stall nearby as well. Overall - a good place to stay for transit, but not for a long stay as it can be over crowded if it full house and no free place to put your luggage as others might occupied the free space.

Aloha is in lower Semporna, so it's close to the jetty for Mabul, convenient for Giant and the other shops and there is a busy food court just around the corner. Be warned that the kid who comes rushing over to help with your bags doesn't work for the hotel and expects RM2 for carrying it across the street. Check in is uncomplicated. RM50 deposit. There is NO SECURE STORAGE downstairs. So if you've got a bag of dive gear you have to lug it up to your dorm or leave it amongst the collection of local youth lounging downstairs playing phone games. There is a small dining area and kitchen with hot and cold (filtered) water, sink and microwave. No communal lounge or area to hang out. Our dorm was on the second floor (which was further than we really wanted to carry suitcases and kit bags) and there was no further security beyond the front door of the hostel. The dorm room had welded frames with these imported Japanese capsules installed. Someone getting in and out of the upper bunk was quite noisy. There was also water pouring up in the roof space. I don't know why but it was like sleeping next to a waterfall. The capsules are nice but apparently designed to have your feet by the door (the reading lights are at the other end). However without the internal air con/fan connected that was incredibly stuffy. There is a universal plug socket AND a couple of USB ports. There was also a tray table cleverly hidden behind the sliding door. If you close the door it locks and you have to press the release button until it beeps. The linen was clean, the mattress and pillows comfortable. My only complaint was that with 4 people, all with 2 bags or cases, there wasn't room to swing a cat. No under bed space or lockers. The toilets work, the showers were warm (although lack pressure). The bathroom reasonably well finished.
