Room is lovely with wood floors and tiles in bathroom and corridors . The furniture is real wood and i loved it. I will definitely stay there again. Location was convenient as I was there for work two blocks away.

The staff are friendly, the room is clean, spacious, and as you enter, you'd be greeted with a refreshing smell of citronella which helps in relaxation. This boutique hotel is very well equipped. It even has a safe box for those who needs it. The staff are friendly and the location is amazing. The cafe below serves amazing cakes. Quite a number of museums are within walking distance of this Hotel. This hotel is also just 2 minutes walk from where I need to go for work. So it's all good. I will definitely recommend this hotel and I would book again in the future.

Located on the edge of Georgetown, the hotel is about 10 mins walk from the ferry terminal if you are coming from the mainland. We stayed overnight before leaving for Singapore in the morning. The hotel itself is in a heritage building with nicely restored features, although there was a slight damp smell in the corridors. I believe there is an attached restaurant on the rooftop although it is very close to the Little India area and Chulia Street, both of which offer a plethora of tasty and budget-friendly local food options. Georgetown itself is very picturesque, and worth spending at least a few hours in. The room was extremely spacious, with a huge bed and sofa. There is a 7-11 just below the hotel if you need snacks and drinks.

A great unexpected find. Room was spacious and well appointed. Nice antique furniture. Good-looking bathroom. Only bad thing were the mosquitoes. Room can be noisy because of the street it faces.

My husband, 13 year old daughter and I stayed at the Chambers for 5 nights and we were very pleased with our stay there. I had initally booked 3 nights, checking in Dec 30, 2017 and checking out Jan 2, 2018 but after our first night we were so happy with the hotel, location, and staff that we asked to stay 2 more nights. The room was large and had a big window that faced the ocean (partial view) and a big grassy public area called the Padang Kota Lama, Fort Cornwalis is across the street and 2-3 minute walk to Little India, 5 min walk to Kwan Yin temple, 7-10 min walk to Chulia St. There is WiFi in the room but very sluggish at times, we went to the Constant Gardener coffe shop right downstairs for WiFi and coffee which worked out great. The hotel is small and charming, the staff was kind and attentive. There was one staff person who spoke very good English and was a great resource for activities, buses, taxi in Penang. Also if you ask, the hotel will do laundry, during our stay 8 RM (about 2 USD) per kilogram, which I thought a good price for not having to lug laundry around to find a cheaper place. I gave the laundry to the person at the front desk about 9 am and we received it that same evening. Overall I highly recommend The Chambers.

We booked a family room for 3 nights. There are 2 queen-size beds and big bathroom. The staff there is very friendly. We're very happy with the service and the room. It's beyond our expectation. There is only one small thing; the floor in our room is quite dusty.

I stayed in chambers for 2 weeks, when i reserved it, i was reading mixed reviews about the hotel, i wasnt expecting it to be very good. But to my surprise, The Chambers hotel was one of the best ones i have ever stayed, considering the price. The hotel staff were very friendly, they helped me every time when i need something. The hotel was very clean, The room was spacious enough with a 40 inch TV, minibar etc.. its located close the sea, though there is no sea view from the hotel window, the seashore just 5 mins walk . I would definitely recommend this hotel

The location is the real plus of the hotel if you want to be in the middle of heritage area. The hotel room was clean, well designed, spacious and bed really comfortable. Value for money!

Wir waren 5 Nächte hier. Das Hotel eignet super zum Erkunden von Georgetown. Der kostenlose CAT Bus hält 200m rechts und links vor dem Hotel. Mit diesem kommt man bequem zum Komtar (Busbahnhof), von welchem Busse über die ganze Insel fahren. Angrenzend an das Hotel befindet sich Little India mit leckeren lokalen Restaurants. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr hübsch eingerichtet, das Bett war sehr bequem und alles war sauber. Leider roch das aggressive Putzmittel die ersten zwei Tage sehr streng. Die Zimmer sind mit Fenster zur großen Straße und daher (auch Nachts) etwas lauter. Das kostenlose Wasser aus der Beschreibung können wir nicht bestätigen (unten im Haus gibts aber einen 7-Eleven), auch wird das Zimmer nur nach Abgabe des Schlüssels an der Rezeption gemacht.

This hotel consistently exceeds my expectations in terms of the low cost. It is a heritage site, formerly a Chinese chamber of commerce, where many details were kept tidy. The location is ideal on the cat-free shuttle bus route, which takes you around Georgetown, and only a few steps from several city landmarks. There is a nice coffee shop and subway downstairs just walk about 100 meters south or take the cat bus to find breakfast like locals.

I think management must focus more on customer service front desk. I called to inquire if early check-in was feasible, and I believe the front desk didn't even adequately consider my question before answering. When I was next there, I was about to check, and it was revealed that the property only accepts cash. I knew there was a bank nearby, but do you realize how irritating that is? To make guests feel more at ease, you may want to include this information in your property information. In terms of body language, courtesy, and greetings, I would say there is a lot that needs to be done in terms of rudeness, mannerism. All of the facilities and amenities are satisfactory. The hotel's architecture and strategic location are its selling points. It's convenient to grab a quick supper because there are plenty of shopping and subway stations. If you have elderly travelers, you may also request a room on the est floor rather than on the first floor because the room is only accessible via stairs if the rooftop is completely closed. I've also included a celebration of the sunset on my list. I advise attempting the cafe close to the hotel because it is one of the top cafes in town.

We stayed here for our final night because we wanted to be close to the ferry port since we were on the 8. 30 to Langkawi route. The room was wonderful, and the bathroom was huge. Particularly compared to our previous hotel moustache house, the room was lovely and spacious. It was good to see that they have preserved them in the rooms by covering them with wooden panels. They have exposed segments so you may see them. The only drawback I have to mention is that the windows are covered in almost a dull matte clear film, making it difficult to see the view if the park directly across from you.
