El Lido is expensive when compared to other places in the Philippine Peninsula and I had a hard time finding a nice hotel in our price range, so I would have paid more for something better. The location was good, not too far to walk into town, but there were few good restaurants nearby. The main issues were the water was run-up and had a very long night's sleep, there was no hot shower. In the rooms there were bugs, and my daughter got bites all over her head. The doors were difficult to lock, and we were concerned about other travelers' theft reports. Breakfast was terrible. Our rooms faced directly into the next hotel, and therefore there was no privacy in the room. Outside, it was filthy and dusty, there was no patio or entryway to dry clothes, hang out, or leave shoes. Poor wifi in the rooms. On the plus side, they cleaned the rooms each day and the staff was friendly.
