It’s always hard to tell from photos but this place far exceeded my hopes. The property is large, sunny, well designed and landscaped. There are old buildings that blend seamlessly with the new. The breakfast area and pool are modern, airy and relaxing. We had a bungalow which had a spacious living/dining area with a kitchen. The bathroom was large, with a walk-in shower and bidet. The only negative things I can say are the pool is shallow! Don’t dive. And the dining room where we had dinner had horrible overhead bright lighting where candlelight would have been perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful.

The grounds are gorgeous! We unfortunately didn’t get to spend much time at the property itself, but it was clean and beautifully landscaped. Our room was clean and well stocked. Included a mini bar for a fee (as with any hotel). Water and some fruit were complimentary in our room when. We checked in. The only con would be that you had to pay for coffee if you used any (typically coffee is included at hotels).

Das gesamte Team ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit, Service ausgezeichnet in allen Fragen. Die Anlage und das Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Frühstück für Preis-Leistungsverhältnis (Reiseführer lesen, was ortsüblich ist und da schneidet das Hotel sehr gut ab) völlig ausreichend. Die Einrichtung ist etwas älter, aber das ist in der Beschreibung und den Fotos der Anlage gut ersichtlich und auch hier stimmt eben das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis absolut. Trotzdem wir sehr früh abreisen mussten (vorm Frühstück im Hotel) wurde uns am Tag vorher der Frühstücksservice im Zimmer angeboten (wir hatten gar nicht gefragt, da wir dachten, ohne Frühstück abreisen zu müssen) und wir bekamen 5 Uhr morgens Frühstück aufs Zimmer serviert. Absolut guter Service, vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit ans Hotel.

Had a suite in a 17th century building. Beautiful old furniture with modern facilities. Great breakfast every morning. Something like staying in a castle in France, except that we paid very little for this accommodation. Take a bus from Ponta Delgada, or a taxi. 15-30 minute drive.

The bungalow was perfect. It has a living room, kitchenette with everything you need to prepare a meal, a balcony overlooking a garden and a bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The hotel has a beautiful garden perfect for an after dinner stroll. There's even farm animals with chickens, peacocks and two goats. It was a bit chilly for a swim but the hotel has a nice pool area perfect to soak up some sun. Very friendly and helpful staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Overall a wonderful stay and I will be back.

This was a beautiful place to stay. The villa was gorgeous and spacious. It's not right in town, but the little compound is perfect in so many ways. We stayed 2 nights and loved it. Breakfast is good. Plenty of options.

The rooms were awesome, sort of like small condos, with a living room, a small kitchenette etc. Really a charming place. The restaurant was so so, and the surrounding area was lacking a bunch of things to do. Great for getting away, but not a ton to do once your there.

Estuvimos 7días dos personas en un bungalow individual con salón/cocina, dormitorio y baño. Todos los días entraban para hacer las camas, tirar la basura y repaso de limpieza. Zona tranquila y silenciosa. Fuimos en octubre y no usamos la piscina, pero tenía buena pinta. Dispones de barbacoa con leña para poder usar libremente en jardines comunes. Aparcamiento dentro del recinto y enfrente. El desayuno algo caro.
