Hotel was good even though it is a bit old furnishing Service was excellent. Check in/out process was very smooth. We have been given $30 dining voucher as we booked through trip.com & 2 cheese cake voucher to be redeemed from D9 Cakery- It is really worth! The only thing we can complain was the water pressure for hand shower- abit too low & TV is abit too small. Overall it has been nice experience for our staycation.

I stayed at the Hilton Singapore (Orchard Road) as part of a short “staycation” in early January. I specifically picked the Singapore Hilton due to its proximity to Orchard Road and it’s associated shopping and dining areas. The hotel lived up to all my expectations! Right from the pre-stay emails confirming my arrival time, the check-in, the service in the bars and restaurants and the check-out, everything was conducted efficiently and politely, with what I felt is the right amount of friendliness balanced with professionalism. Although the hotel is an older building, the facilities and look of the property have been kept up-to-date, with good sized, tastefully decorated and comfortable rooms, equipped with all the technology and features you could reasonably expect, along with comfortable and varied public facilities. Some reviewers commented on the dated appearance, but to be honest, whatever you call it, it works. To be honest, I have read some of the other more negative reviews abou the Hilton Singapore and I just cannot understand what they are on about and its difficult to imagine what the expectations of the reviewers was when they stayed there. From my perspective, combined with the very friendly, professional and efficient staff I interacted with, the comfort of the room and facilities overall, I would be more than happy to stay at the Hilton Singapore again.

Service: 4/5 Room: 3/5 F&B: 4/5 Stayed at Hilton Singapore for 3D2N and here’s my review for it. The GOOD: Warm Hospitality - I received warm greetings at every touch point. During check-in, getting more mineral water, and even at the safe entry check-in. Nothing that truly warms the cockles of my heart, but it makes me feel welcomed nonetheless. In-room Dining - I don’t know why but I really expected the food to be tasteless, soggy and as unappetizing as in-room orders usually are. Imagine my surprised when flavours exploded in my mouth when I took a bite of the crab cake I ordered. Plenty of Pillows - Oooohhh 6 pillows in the room without even asking for it? That scores well with me! The NOT-SO-GOOD: An Old, Old Property - At a glance, you can really tell that the interior is quite dated. It’s still cosy; just not that luxe when the room looks so obviously old. No Breakfast?! - I supposed they have cut down services due to COVID and manpower issues. Breakfast for IRD breakfast is only available from 9.45am onwards. If you want to have an earlier breakfast, it’s only available dine-in at their restaurant. I’m not an early bird so in-room breakfast has always been a must for me during hotel stays. Kinda disappointed to know that I couldn’t have my breakfast in-room till after 9.45am. Limited Lounge Access - I had requested for lounge access in my original booking but had it cancelled after I found out that it is only open to guests for 1-hour of usage each time. Conclusion: Having visited other hotels along Orchard Road, Hilton is a close 3rd choice of mine. I’d probably come back again when the COVID situation eases. I’d like to check-out the executive lounge someday.

Location: In the heart of Orchard Road. A very good location if you want to feel like a expensive tourist. Or the revenge you always wanted to have by not going home and staying in Orchard instead. Good (expensive) food around. Extremely cosmopolitan with LV & Gucci feel. Lobby: A rustic retro feel which has been renovated. Check in was fast. there are ample seats for people to rest their feet, or for elderly who are waiting for their check in. Big lobby space to move around. Room: Pretty standard. One desk, one coffee reception area, one bathtub and a sink and a toilet bowl. Very standard items. Space wise, for a premium hotel, space is relatively good which you may refer to the picutures of other travellers. Air-con at 25 degrees celcius is very cold. Thumbs up. TV, small, got to squint your eyes to watch the program. Lighting, 1 button, settles all. Thumbs up. The good: Mentioned above The nightmare: 1. Shower at your own risk. After adjusting the water to the right temperature, during your shower, the water will suddenly turn cold. We are in the midst of a monsoon season and the weather is quite cold, and this happened at the right time. Geez. 2. The food: The high tea is pretty decent for a hotel, to a point i felt that it is pretty impressive (please refer to my photos). As for breakfast, for the same price you are paying, you would get a buffet spread before COVID. But now, you are entitled to only 1 small portion determined by the hotel. This is absolutely ridiculous and horrible. 3. The Recovery: Was there any? After sending them a feedback, all you get is a "I am sorry, kthxbye" kinda attitude. I was hoping that they would invite us back to make things right. But all you get is, "we will do better next time, and to bring these corrections to serve OTHER occupants better". Overall: I never felt so disgusted with the hotel stay and I will never go back to Hilton.

Staycation at Hilton Singapore was Great! They have arranged Bday deco for my hubby and he was speechless when he saw the room. In the evening, they send a slice cake to the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. They sms me to ensure that we stay comfortably. And if we have any request which I find it's good communication. Kudos Hilton Singapore and keep it up.
