I've stayed at Thana 7 times, and it always fulfills my expectations. Your bush experience begins when you're collected at the main gate. Both the staff and the guide and tracking specialist have wonderful accommodations. There is no hurry. This reserve is delicate and beautiful, helping to reduce the pain and tension associated with everyday daily life. You are in nature's center, and that is the finest medicine. Both the food and the chosen wines, beers, and spirits in your package are excellent. You are treated individually, rather than as a quantity. Tana means love in Zulu, and I urge everyone to adore it.

It's a small gem in the bush. The staff is also very courteous and accommodating. Game rangers and spotters are outstanding. The entire property is very clean, and everything is in its proper spot. Fantastic. 1010 is not enough. This place is a little gem in the bush. I loved everything about it. The cuisine is excellent. The chefs were extremely courteous and well mannered. They explained the menu in advance to us. With class, it appears on the table. The entire kitchen staff is very friendly and well mannered. It's also a pleasure to chat.

After spending a week at thana safari lodge, I can't express how awesome it was. The lush surroundings, the tastefully decorated lodge, the wonderful enormous bed, the heated plunge pool, and the completely ideal patio leading to the outside bed with a view of the wilderness, where we took a few napes in between game drives. No one felt hungry, as the joys emanating from the kitchen under the watchful eye of chef enzo left us only hungry to see what the next meal would be like. After hearing our wish of trying some gamemeat for lunch, he created us a special dish that made us leave lunch with huge smiles. The average day at the Thana safari lodge begins just before 0600 with a wakeup call for the morning game drive. After stopping for coffee, coffee, and biscuits in the wild before continuing on, a huge breakfast buffet and additional selections were prepared for us when we got back to camp. We had rhinos, lions, elephants, and water buffalo almost daily. We could have a nice lunch for two or three courses with a special bomaupper, two course course meal, and close to a sunrise. The afternoon game drive ended just around 1800 and due to our infrequently occurring winters, the last 30-40 minutes were in the dark, preventing both the birds, alas, and the other animals

Our experience at Thana Lodge was fantastic in every way with exceptional service. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Every day, we were always greeted by something new. The food was of the highest caliber and variety, and everything was fresh. The game drives were fantastic. Over the course of our three days, we saw a wide variety of animals and birds, including 4 of the 5 no leopards. Even so, the sightings were of very high caliber, being intimate because there was rarely another vehicle nearby. But we were fortunate to have a fantastic guide called Peace, who was incredibly knowledgeable and made the sightings even more remarkable. It rained during our stay for four of the game drives, but peace kept the sightings completely exciting and provided incredible driving despite the conditions. Wed also like to thank Thana, as they were able to offer us an additional night on short notice after another provider fell through and upgraded us from the tent camp for the entire stay. Wed like to return in the future because Thana holds a very special place in our heart.
