This has now gone down on our favorite vacation ever!! The castle itself is amazing. We stayed 10 days and would have stayed more but they had no rooms. We were on the sixth floor ( only two rooms there) and had a two balcony’s. You can spend days just in the walled old town but we were actually just across the street from the River. Walked every place. If you have a chance…book it!!

Le Parador se trouve sur la place d'armes. Immanquable. Le cadre intérieur est juste magique, on se croirait revenu au temps de Charles Quint. Les chambres sont standard, mais ce qui importe, c'est le lieu et toute l'histoire de cet édifice. On peut prendre le parking de l'hotel (payant), sinon des parkings gratuits sont à 300m. Pas de restaurant (déjeuner/diner) dans la parador mais on peut manger dans les rues adjacentes. On peut par contre y prendre le petit dejeuner. Un excellent séjour, toute la côte cantabrique d'Hondarribia à Bilbao est spendide.

It was a very nice experience to stay in an old castle. The interior decoration was lovely with a great atmosphere. Also, the breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful, which made for a good trip.

Fabulous. Lovely old area and an easy walk to many restaurants close to that in the town. I paid to use the Paradore parking, which makes that easy, as I didn't see any other option near by. A great place for a short visit.

The stay was a great experience in a lovely historic building. It was slightly disappointing that the café bar closes early and there is not a restaurant in the building. There are many bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk.
