I spent three nights at the Wanna Thapae Hotel. The motel was a lovely sight after a long train journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. For me, it's a perfect hotel, rather than a traditional motel. The structure and interior are both brand new. The personnel is courteous and pleasant. Checking was simple. The room was tidy. The air conditioning works well. But there aren't many windows. It felt a little overbearing not seeing the daylight in my room. Breakfast was fairly good. However, there aren't many choices on the menu. Nevertheless, there are many 711s close by! Overall, when I return to Chiang Mai, I will without a doubt stay at the wanna Thae hotel.

We highly recommend this place. The hotel is good, the staff is very nice, the rooms are very clean and spacious, we love staying here for 3 days! It's in the city center, near the old city gate but the hotel is so quiet.

My wife and I stayed at the Wanna Thapa Hotel. The hotel is off the main road, so the airport driver had to request the exact location from someone nearby. We checked in for three nights and had to take our bags to our room because I believe they did not offer concierge services. The room was large, neat, and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is served in a small area, where fruits are brought to you and one writes on a piece of paper what kind of eggs you require etc. There are two types of cereal and juices on a table, with coffee, tea etc. The service is efficient and brings what is ordered to the table. Given the amenities offered, the room rate is reasonable. Also, the staff is really pleasant. The main advantage is that the Thapae Gate is very close with so many restaurants for lunch or dinner and that the night market is only a 10-minute stroll away. I wouldn't mind staying there again on my next visit.

The hotel opened the week before our arrival. Everything was brand new and very clean. We only spent one night and had to leave very early in the morning. The girl at the front desk did not know the exact time of breakfast. She gave wrong information. Our next surprise was that our room had no windows. It would have been very uncomfortable for a longer stay. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very nice.

In my opinion, this place is really worth the price with a good location and good staff that speaks English very well. The hotel has a modern and clean look and the rooms are nice and spacious. Breakfast is included until early morning you will not wake up any later than that and has been cooked personally for you.
