We had a great stay. It was just for 1 night after a concert at Wrigley Field. Heart O Chicago is an older hotel but it was very clean and close to public transportation. If your not familiar with big city neighborhoods you may say the neighborhood is bad but it's truly not. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat

The staff are all so amazing! The place is dated, but clean. The service is organized, friendly and efficient. Great location. Starbucks right beside it, too. I'll stay again.

We've stayed at this motel about a dozen times now. The rooms are always clean (which has not been the case at more expensive hotels lately). The free in-and-out parking can't be beat in Chicago. There are plenty of nice cafes/bars/restaurants nearby. And the staff has been gracious enough to check us in early several times, as we're often there for a Cubs day game and need to park early. The convenience and cleanliness can't be beat for the price.

Definitely falls into the no frills category, but I've never experienced a room that was dirty or uncomfortable in any way. This hotel is close to many dining options and is close to rail or bus transportation making getting around without a car, easy. It can get a bit noisy sometimes because of the nearby fire station.

Excellent old school motel. Dates to the 1950s but very well in terms of upkeep. Friendly staff, very nice and accommodating housekeeping. Towels are thin but they give you more happily. Basic but very safe and a good value. Walk to Alexander’s for an amazing diner experience! 3 easy blocks. Great stay overall.

Beds had zippered, sealed covers on mattresses! I love not worrying about bugs when traveling. Carpet was old and kinda dirty looking so be sure to bring flip flops or slippers. Did not use the shower but the bathroom was adorable! There were a few hangers and drawer space too The man who checked me into the hotel seemed annoyed while dealing with me but was kind to my friend as she got there before me, not sure the issue there but the morning front desk man was very sweet despite a rude guest before me being abrasive to him. The neighborhood has plenty of traffic sounds but the TV was decent to cover those sounds. The doors have individual deadbolt keys and lock when you exit and even have the chain door lock for while inside the room. The parking is free and my car was untouched all night (you can see the whole parking lot from all the rooms). There are soda vending machines ,though I never tried any. There is also what used to be the breakfast area but not sure what is in that area. Honestly well worth the cost and peculiarities!! Will stay again next time I travel to Chicago for sure~
