Longtime Hilton Gold member for both business and pleasure, but now taking my business elsewhere.
Long story short, I was due to fly into Chicago ORD for a couple days and was going to stay at this Hilton for one night upon landing. Flight got canceled for weather (which is a common ORD occurrence), so I call the front desk to explain why I can no longer stay at the hotel. They proceed to tell me not only that they cannot refund my money, but will charge an extra $50 on top as a cancellation fee. Yes, you read that correctly. The support team was unapologetic about the situation although they did manage to be ever so generous in not charging me the extra $50. While a full refund wasn't necessary, I expected at least an attempt to help a customer in need. This expectation proved to be wildly optimistic.
I had been a loyal Hilton Gold member since 2015 but I will no longer stay with this chain ever again. Thank you for showing us how you treat loyal customers, Hilton.

Steven McPhee from the Hilton Honors Grand Vacations was a great help from the moment I stepped through the door. His professional and sharp looking attire was welcome especially from a stranded military man stuck in Chicago, it was nice to have someone so willing to help and assist. Everything went smooth and was extremely efficient. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Thanks Steven!!

I wanted to tell you a great story that happened with my mother today. My mother was in Hilton Chicago O’hare hotel. She needed a help with a wheelchair and getting her to boarding gate in the airport. She can’t walk without having a wheelchair. It can be a long walk for her. The nice story was when she met with Mr. Wilson there. He has been in United Airlines service there. My understanding, typically no one can pick up people from Hilton Chicago o’hare hotel to boarding gate. So, Mr. Wilson was a great and professional person. He volunteered to take care of my mother. He really took over that and got my mother into the Special United Airline services there and they took care of her as well!
It was so much pleasured!
A huge thank for Mr. Wilson and United Airlines as well!
