Domestic Flights Regulations

New Requirement

The latest regulation regarding the COVID-19 vaccine as a mandatory requirement for domestic and international travel has been revoked. This regulation is stated in Circular Letter (SE) Number 1 of 2023 concerning Health Protocols During the Transition Period of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Endemic. 

 

General Entry Requirements

Entry requirements
  • Passengers are no longer required to present a negative result from an RT-PCR test before departure, nor are they required to provide evidence of owning health insurance
  • It is recommended to install the Satu Sehat mobile app (available on Google Play; App Store, App Gallery) and register the vaccination status on the app.
  • All passengers are advised to take preventive measures to protect themselves from COVID-19 infection.

Domestic Flight Updates

  • As of May 25, 2023, the Ministry of Transportation announced that the main flights in West Java will be gradually relocated from Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung to Kertajati Airport in Majalengka.
  • Starting October 29, 2023, airlines like AirAsia, Citilink, and SuperAir Jet are set to shift their flight routes from Husein Sastranegara International Airport (BDO) to Kertajati International Airport (KJT).
  • Starting December 6, 2023, AirAsia domestic flights will be relocated from Terminal 1A to Terminal 2D.

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) 

Important info: 

  • Starting from March 26, 2023, Batik Airlines will commence operating a new flight route to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) in China. Batik Air flight service on the Indonesia-Guangzhou route will be connected from 6 cities:
    • Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) in Medan
    • Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Tangerang/Jakarta
    • Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) in Yogyakarta
    • Juanda International Airport (SUB) in Surabaya
    • I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali
    • Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (UPG) in Makassar. 
  • Starting from August 5, 2023, Vietjet Air will also commence operating new direct flights between Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City, offering round trip options.

Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung (BDO)

Important info:

Important info: 

  • As of October 13, 2022, the Covid-19 Task Force has established Circular Letter (SE) No: 25 of 2022, supported by Instruction of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Number 42 of 2022, and Circular Letter of the Ministry of Transportation Number 88 of 2022, designating Kertajati International Airport in West Java as the entry point for international travel.
