Hight Speed Train (WHOOSH)

Karawang high-speed train station will officially serve passengers starting December 24, 2024. Previously, this station has been operating since October 2023 to support the Whoosh high-speed train operations, but has not yet served passengers up and down. 

 

This station will provide easy access to travel for the people of Karawang and its surroundings, especially with a very fast travel time. The Halim-Karawang route only takes 15 minutes, while the Karawang-Padalarang or Tegalluar route can be reached in about 20 minutes, much shorter than other land transportation.

 

In addition to the Karawang high-speed rail station, three other stations have already been operational, which are the Halim Whoosh Station, Padalarang Whoosh Station, and Tegalluar Whoosh Station. These three stations are an important part of the high-speed rail network connecting Jakarta, Bandung, and surrounding areas. 

 

Halim Station in Jakarta is the main departure point, while Tegalluar and Padalarang Stations in Bandung facilitate accessibility to various destinations in West Java. Whoosh ticket prices start from IDR 175,000 for premium economy class. This ticket includes a feeder train ticket service that will take passengers to Cimahi Station or Bandung Station according to their destination. 1. Passengers are allowed to bring carry-on/luggage with maximum dimensions of 100 cm x 30 cm x 40 cm, or a maximum total weight of 20 kg without being charged additional fees.
2. If the luggage/luggage exceeds the weight and/or size as referred to in the points above, an additional fee of 5% (five percent) of the ticket rate per kilogram will be charged.

6. Items that are not permitted to be carried as baggage include:
   • Animal
   • Firearms and sharp weapons
   • Flammable/explosive items
   • All items that disturb/damage the health and comfort of other passengers
   • All items of inappropriate condition and size are transported as baggage, according to officials
   • All items prohibited by law
7. Carry-on/luggage is placed on the luggage rack or in another place in such a way that it does not disturb/endanger other passengers or cause damage to the train.
8. PT KCIC and tiket.com are not responsible for damage and/or loss of luggage carried by passengers. Every passenger is obliged to look after their baggage.
9. Damage to the Whoosh Fast Train caused by passenger baggage is the responsibility of the passenger and is required to pay compensation equal to the actual loss for the damage in question.

The Jakarta Bandung Fast Train is named Whoosh. Whoosh stands for Save Time, Optimal Operation, Great System.
