Areas in Faunaland

As previously mentioned, Faunaland Ancol is divided into 3 zones, namely the bird zone, petting zone for herbivorous mammals, and carnivore zone. Let's find out what animals are in each zone. The following is the explanation.

1. Bird Island

The island is an interesting place to start an adventure, where birds such as parrots, parrots, yellow-crested cockatoos, Papuan musk birds and other types of birds live in this zone without being kept in cages. You can take photos and interact with birds that have been trained to perch freely on tree trunks. This area is guarded by several keepers to ensure the safety of visitors and help direct birds to perch on visitors' hands, shoulders or heads. 

2. Herbivore Mammals

In this zone, you can find various animals from various parts of the world, including ponies from England and white kangaroos from New Zealand. You can interact with mini horses which are often chosen by children. There are also several rabbits which are children's favorites. At certain times, these rabbits are released and allowed to play with the children.

3. Carnivore

In the carnivore zone, there are three adult white lions (two females and one male) who sleep during the day. In addition, there are two nine-month-old young white lions placed close to the adult white lion's enclosure. They come from South Africa. 

Apart from these three zones, you will also find two Aldabra tortoises before entering the carnivore zone. These turtles are between 25 and 70 years old. You can't ride the turtle, okay? To maintain the safety of the turtles, Faunaland provides extra supervision and tries to prevent visitors, both adults and children, from climbing on top of the turtles.
