From there, it’s a scenic drive uphill, taking roughly 1 to 1.5 hours in off-peak traffic. However, be cautious of weekend congestion as it can significantly extend travel time.
For those preferring public transportation, you can take the KRL Commuter Line from Jakarta to Bogor Station, followed by a Blue Bird taxi or online ride-hailing service to the park—this entire trip typically takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes. Another option includes riding a DAMRI airport bus from Halim or Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Bogor (Botani Square), then continuing by taxi to the entrance, with a total travel time of approximately 3 hours.
Travelers flying into Jakarta can easily add Taman Safari to their itinerary by allocating an extra 30–45 minutes from the airport to reach central departure points. The park has a large parking area, and for convenience, rideshare drop-off and pick-up points are clearly marked near the entrance.
