1st StopThe Similan Islands are one of the best known island groups in the Andaman Sea, primarily due to the diverse marine life and vibrant corals that can be found there. It consists of an archipelago of eleven islands. Whilst each has it own name, the authorities assigned each a number for convenience. Islands 1., 2. and 3 are closed to the public due to a turtle hatching protection program and reef conservation efforts. (Island number 3 actually belongs to a Thai princess.). Whilst not all of these picture-postcard islands are open for tourists to visit, you will experience the good fortune of visiting several of them during the day.
